How It Works

There really isn't much explaining necessary for this build. I've called it the 'hold left click' build as that is literally all you need to do, either to clear rooms or burst down bosses. We utilise Prismatic's insane kit in order to give us plenty of survivability whilst Microcosm deletes everything.

There is a lot of flexibility with the Exotic armor piece for this build as Microcosm can't get many buffs apart from armor such as Cenotaph Mask , which is only useful for ammo (which isn't an issue here at all). I'd recommend just picking a Solipsism with a nice roll for your neutral game, as niche buffs won't do too much for us. I've gone with a roll of Filaments / Star-Eater as this frees up an aspect slot for either Hellion, Bleak Watcher or Weaver's Call.

I HIGHLY ADVISE taking Hellion here.

This is because we will be getting insane uptime on it thanks to the class ability energy gains we will be getting on kill whilst Devour is active (which we get every time we use our Empowering Rift). Paired with Facet of Hope for +60% class ability regeneration rate whenever we have two elemental buffs, which we will have up constantly through Devour (rifts), Amplified (Arc multikills from weapon or Lightning Surge), Woven Mail (orb pickup from Facet of Purpose) and Bolt Charge (hits with Lightning Surge). Since it got a rework, Empowering Rift is actually really strong now, giving +20% damage whilst inside, as well as +260% additional base grenade and melee regen rate and +230% base class ability regen rate. On top of all that, kills inside our rift will also give us a +1.15 ammo generation multiplier that stacks with our ammo finder mods. It's also worth noting that we don't need Radiant from anywhere inside our kit as the damage buff it gives overlaps with the one we get from Empowering Rift, which frees up a fragment slot. With this spare slot I took Facet of Grace which practically halves the amount of kills needed with Microcosm to get Transcendence up (around 24 kills). For other fragments, go with Purpose for Woven Mail, Protection for DR when surrounded and Courage for the +10 Grenade stat and to make our Lightning Surge hit for 50% more damage when hitting anything hit by either Arcane Needle, Coldsnap Grenade or our Transcendence Grenade.

You get Transcendence EXTREMELY fast using Microcosm, allowing you to essentially spam all of your abilities for a very long time as you will be refreshing your meter so much thanks to your insane damage output and crowd control. I haven't mentioned it much, but Star-Eater is just a really solid pick to make our Needlestorm do huge chunk damage to bosses and Champions. The burst damage is truly insane with this build, as after your Needlestorm hits (for +70% increased damage at max stacks of Feast of Light), Microcosm receives a +20% damage boost for a huge 20 seconds thanks to its Exotic perk. Kills with Microcosm also give us bonus Super energy based on enemy rank, allowing us to get our huge burst damage back online incredibly fast.

Stats, armor mods and the artifact make this build even stronger, I'll go over them here then the build can be wrapped up (if you are still reading thank you lol) (I promise it's worth it) (I'm almost done) (almost)

Take as much Weapons as you can, ideally at least 150 to let your Microcosm hit even harder and have the chance to pick up essentially double ammo from bricks. After that, get your class to at least 80 and your Super to 100. Everything else in Grenade, then Melee. I promise running 26 melee (like I am) works absolutely fine with this build, even with Lightning Surge, as we will be getting all of its energy through all of our Transcendence pops that we have crazy high uptime on. Combined with the potential +50% damage to Lightning Surge on dark debufffed enemies from Facet of Courage, there is a perk in the artifact that can give us even more melee damage to make sure it isn't just tickling enemies at -50 Power deltas.

In the artifact there are a few essential picks.

Kinetic Synthesis - helps to sustain unlimited Microcosm ammo Kinetic Rupture - bonus boss / Champion damage and Unstoppable stunning Elemental Siphon - free Tangles Singularity Blade - Lightning Surge applies Weaken when Devour is active Dielectric - more Bolt Charge stacks, free orbs and healing on Lightning Surge kills Armorsmith - breaking any enemy shield gives +100% melee damage and 10% damage resist for 6 seconds - THIS IS INSANE as Microcosm's unique Exotic perk give it +400% damage to shields, allowing us to keep this up practically permanently (the buff is also infinitely refreshable lol) Void Infestation - killing Weakened enemies sends out a Weakening projectile that spreads Weaken

As you can see, there are some insane synergies for this build to incorporate, and the best part is that all of them require 0 conscious effort to activate - they will just come naturally as you play.

To finish, armor mods:

Helmet - 1 Kinetic Siphon, 1 Heavy Ammo Finder and 1 Dynamo Gloves - 1 Heavy Handed, 1 Bolstering Detonation and 1 Kinetic Loader Chest - 1 Concussive Dampener and whatever resists the activity requires Boots - 2 Kinetic Weapon Surges and 1 Kinetic Scavenger Class Item - 1 Powerful Attraction, 1 Outreach and either a copy of Distribution or Time Dilation

That's it.

Also to note, this build is obviously even more busted whenever the Heavy Surge modifier is active in the Portal for double Microcosm damage and more Heavy Ammo drops. As I'm posting this, the mod is active in the Portal this week so definitely make the most of this whilst you can. I have used this build for a long time without Heavy Surge and can confirm it isn't a crutch at all, just something that makes this build a must-pick for me whenever it is active. Enjoy!
