Rapidly fires 3 spreads of pure force.

After a successful melee hit, this weapon gains increased damage, reduced charge time, and improved reload speed for a short duration. Hitting a target with most of the pellets in a burst increases melee damage for a short duration.

How It Works

This build is derived from a Mactics Build Battles video, so credit to him and the original creator for showing me the basis of the setup.

The build revolves around the new Void aspect 'On the Hunt' that creates weakening clouds that grant Invis to allies when defeating a marked target during Invis.

This couples perfectly with Gwisin Vest, creating the same cloud upon exiting Invis, creating a seamless and very simple gameplay loop that provides utility every time your Invis procs.

Having a Destabilising Rounds (ideally with Repulsor Brace for synergy) Void weapon in the Energy slot makes this build an awful lot easier to benefit from, allowing for Invis to be accessed very easily whilst bolstering ad clear and survivability.

A unique exchange was found by Mactics that shows that the weakening clouds generated by Gwisin Vest count as melee damage, allowing for mods to synergise with it as well as buffing weapons such as Bastion.

Bastion, whilst not a meta pick, is a fantastic weapon to spend your Exotic slot on. The intrinsic Unstoppable rounds allow for more flexibility concerning your other weapons, whilst it also benefits from strong artifact mods such as Particle Reconstruction. Since its rework, Bastion now gains 45% increased damage after dealing melee damage, and Bastion damage grants a One-Two Punch melee buff. Very solid choice that can deal some very good damage and burst down Champions.

I'd really recommend running a minimum of 2 Void Surges on your boots - there isn't much need for Recuperation or grenade regen thanks to Devour and our melee can be recharged on demand through our dodge. Go for the damage buff, with a Destab/Repulsor weapon you will destroy packs of enemies and stack a load of buffs.

IMPORTANT NOTE! Don't ignore the part of Gwisin Vest that buffs Spectral Blades. Feel free to use it to clear mobs (though you shouldn't need it for that). but when dealing sustained damage on a Champion or Boss, open with a heavy attack to weaken, follow up with three light attacks and then heavy attack again to refresh weaken and get some Super energy back for free. Spectral was buffed a while back and delivers surprisingly good damage - if you REALLY love Tether feel free to swap, but the Gwisin buff makes it more than viable to run Spectral here.

That's it! For damage I'd Snare Bomb the target for a weaken, follow up with a spread of Bastion shots and then an uncharged melee for some free damage.

Gameplay Loop
  1. Get a kill with your Destabilising or Volatile Rounds (or kill a weakened enemy from Snare Bomb) to go invis
  2. Kill highlighted target
  3. Gain buffs (Invis, Volatile, Devour etc.) from slaying out and repeat steps 1 and 2
  4. Move to new pack of enemies and repeat
