Build Details
The aim of the build is to take the traditional Void Hunter Orpheus Tether build and shake it up so you have way more flexiblity in terms of what you are able to do with it. For instance, by just moving to Prismatic we have access to Slow for stunning Overloads and Freeze for stunning Unstoppables. With Facet of Dawn we have the capability to make ourselves Radiant, upping our damage by 25% and also making weapons pierce Barrier Champions.
Stylish Executioner, paired with the Episode: Echoes Seasonal Artifact Mod 'Expanding Abyss', gives us the advantage of gaining a 25% debuff with Void weapons. That debuff is typically 15% but because of Expanding Abyss it moves up to 25%. The 30% Weaken that Deadfall Tether provides, with this mod equipped, moves to 35%. Activate Transcendence and gain an additional 5% weapon damage to pair with the buff from Radiant and the debuff from Expanding Abyss/Weaken/Tether/Stylish Executioner. Not only that, but since the core of the build is to weaken enemies and offensively support your team, which you'll do by looping your super repeatedly from the Exotic Armor (Orpheus Rig), popping Transcendence also gives you back both of your melees and so you'll have access to the Radiant buff at the most crucial time it matters: when activating Deadfall Tether.
One major strength of the build is the flexibility. You can flex the melee to Threaded Spike and give yourself the option to Sever and reduce incoming damage and when paired with your Threaded Specter Aspect you can draw damage that happens to not be drawn to your decoy by 40%. This allows you to survive attacks that would normally take you out. Also, when not facing Champions you have the option to flex out the support style grenade (Duskfield) for the newly buffed Swarm grenade.
Last but not least, don't forget the huge amount of Orbs of Power you'll be making for your teammates which is allowing them to cast their Supers effectively more often.
- Melee.
- Gambler's Dodge to deploy decoy, draw aggro, and refund one melee charge.
- Throw additional melee when Radiant expires.
- Score rapid Light damage kills for supplemental melee energy (Facet of Balance) or Dark energy for supplemental grenade energy. 4a. If you're far from super and need to take the offensive or defensive, activate Transcendence.
- Cast Tether when there are 4+ enemies grouped near each other.
- If Transcendence is back, activate it and repeat steps 1 through 3.
Tips: Place decoys when safe to do so, fight to the side of them or slightly to the left or right when behind them. Don't put yourself in danger and die just to cast a decoy.
If you're able to become invisible, you can always wait out the timer to gain the additional 60% class ability energy regen boost from Facet of Hope (Void Invisibility counts towards this).
