Main Points
- This is not a melee glaive build. The only time I melee is when I'm isolated against an enemy and can 100% get away with it.
- The purpose of this build is to navigate the battlefield in invisibility, popping out with glaive shield up to kill champions or groups of adds with volatile rounds.
- So long as you have ammo in the glaive, you will be unkillable from the front. You can even tank the boss while doing damage, though I don't recommend doing that the entire time.
Useful Tips
- Sit in invisibility while you wait for Stylish Executioner to come off cooldown. Reload your glaive, reposition, find new targets. Just spend a few seconds in invisibility while you wait for the Stylish Executioner cooldown to reset.
- Switch to your kinetic to throw your Snare Bomb into groups of adds or onto champions, then immediately switch back to glaive. The combination of Radiant, Weaken, Void Surge, Expanding Abyss, and Volatile makes Vexcalibur do an impressive amount of damage.
- Throw your Super on cooldown, with Spirit of Galanor you'll have it up constantly and it will charge your Darkness Transcendence bar. Same with Transcendence. You'll have it often, so pop it on cooldown.
- On Liminality the boss can still grab you in his third phase with your shield up. Do not try to tank him then.
- If you're isolated against a Barrier champ, just throw Snare Bomb to proc Radiant, pop shield with glaive, then finish with linear fusion rifle.
Fragment Choices
- Facet of Hope: We want to dodge as often as we can to proc reaper for orbs, and to get Snare Bomb back.
- Facet of Awakening: This is for creating Void Breaches for our Elemental Charge to keep us from running out of ammo.
- Facet of Dawn: Radiant for damage boost and anti-barrier.
- Facet of Protection: Will provide us replacement damage resistance for our missing chest mods.
- Facet of Command: Generates Stasis Shards for Elemental Charge and reloads the glaive for us when we freeze things. On more difficult Nightfalls, switch it out for Facet of Purpose.
- Start combo off with a Snare Bomb, Duskfield Grenade, or Slow dodge to debuff enemy.
- Switch to Vexcalibur, and kill enemy to proc Stylish Executioner.
- Dodge to refresh Snare Bomb and proc Reaper.
- Kill more adds.
- Finisher to with 3x Armor Charge to generate Special Ammo.
