Spirit of the Liar is the key perk that we are utilizing for this build to take advantage of the extremely powerful counterpunch. For this build we are going to choose Spirit of Caliban as the goal is to provide a strong build that you can take into any on-level content, such as raids and dungeons. However, acquiring an exact roll on an exotic class item can be difficult, so we will provide viable alternatives that can be chosen depending on the activity:

For Ability and Melee Focused Builds

1. Spirit of the Assassin + Spirit of the Liar

• Prioritizing Survivability & Melee Damage
• Finishers grant Invisibility for 10 seconds
• Powered melee kills grant invisibility for 7 seconds
• 400% Increased Melee Damage

2. Spirit of the Assassin + Spirit of Synthoceps

• Prioritizing Survivability & Melee Ability Damage
• Finishers grant Invisibility for 10 seconds
• 165% Increased Melee Ability Damage

For Weapon Focused Builds

1. Spirit of Inmost Light + Spirit of the Cyrtarachne

• Prioritizing Ability Regeneration & Survivability
• 800% Increased Grenade and Melee Regeneration Rate
• 50% Increased Class Ability Regeneration Rate
• Gain Woven Mail for 10 Seconds on Grenade Activation

2. Spirit of Inmost Light + Spirit of the Gyrfalcon

• Prioritizing Ability Regeneration & Weapon Damage
• 800% Increased Grenade and Melee Regeneration Rate
• 50% Increased Class Ability Regeneration Rate
• Void Weapons Gain Volatile Rounds for 9 Seconds when leaving Void Invisibility

There is not one specific Super that is required for this build, so like resistance mods this should be chosen depending on the activity, and the Elemental Buff provided by Facet of Purpose.

1. Silence & Squall

• Strong super that has a quick cast time, allowing you to quickly resume your gameplay loop.
• Facet of Purpose provides Frost Armor, 4.5% damage resistance per stack for 10 seconds (Max Stacks = 5X = 22.5% damage resistance).

2. Silkstrike

• Strong super that grants 90% damage resistance while active.
• Facet of Purpose provides Woven Mail, 45% damage resistance for 5 seconds.

3. Shadowshot: Deadfall

• Tether may be an option if you need the 30% debuff or want to lock down part of the battlefield, but most likely your fireteam will have a more optimal debuff source and Silence & Squall will also lock down the battlefield while providing much stronger damage resist from Frost Armor over the void Overshield.
• Facet of Purpose provides Overshield, 22.5 HP for 5 seconds.

With the raw damage that Hunter's have access to with exotics such as Celestial Nighthawk and Still Hunt, it is important to understand how this build can be adjusted for DPS encounters.

Super

• Run Golden Gun: Marksman to pair with Celestial Nighthawk.

Class Ability

• Run Marksman's Dodge to take advantage of dodging reloads.

Melee

• Run Snare Bomb to Weaken the boss.

Grenade

• Run Magnetic Grenade

Exotic Class Item

• During the mechanics phases you can run a strong neutral-game combo such as Spirit of Inmost Light and Spirit of the Cyrtarachne.

The are no specific weapons that are required for this build, however a One-Two Punch shotgun is very useful in Solo content. In general, weapons should be chosen depending on the activity as each encounter typically has an optimal loadout.
