WHY CHROMATIC FIRE IS THE BEST OPTION
The way the exotic works is that Precision kills will apply an elemental effect of the equipped super. EX: Strand super will cause Sever on Precision kills. New Land Beyond being a Kinetic weapon is a match made in heaven, especially with some of the Artifact mods we have that buff Sever.
