How It Works

The Sunbracers Warlock build is back baby!!!

This build works just as it used too in the past, where after you get 1 powered melee kill, you get unlimited Grenade energy long enough to throw appx 5 Solar Grenades. What brings this build back from the grave is how it pairs with all of the Solar Synergy and stat rework since EoF. Reason being, you know how throwing a powerful grenade w/ close to 200 Grenade stat does a lot of damage? Well what about throwing 5 supercharged solar grenades appx every 5-10 seconds!!! That what this build does!

On top of the insanely powerful core ability rotation, this build synergizes perfectly with the Solstice Lustrous Armor set, we all as the new Yeartide Apex SMG. I would recommend using any Solar primary with Incandescent if you don't already have a Yeartide Apex with that perk.

As for an exotic weapon, feel free to use whatever you would like. I personally really like Dragon's Breath as it does great passive solar damage and allows me to continue utilizing my Grenade loop even during boss fights assuming there is even 1 ad.

As far as the rest of the build, there is a lot of synergy to work with, such as:

  • Helion for passive scorch damage
  • Touch of Flame for longer lasting, and larger AoE for Solar Grenades
  • Ember of Singeing to make sure we always have Phoenix Dive available either for healing or for renewing Helion
  • Ember of Torches for almost 100% Radiant uptime on Melee hits
  • Ember of Resolve to grant us Cure after every grenade kill making you essentially immortal with how quickly everything dies
  • Ember of Searing for increased Melee regen and Firesprite creation to feed our Armor Charge
  • Armor Mods tailored for fast Super regen, fast ability regen, buffing our grenade damage, Orb creation, and Armor Charge generation from Firesprites
  • Artiface Mods tailored for Ability Regen, increased Solar Damage, buffing your grenades, and generating more Firesprites
Gameplay Loop

Normal Loop 1. Use Melee ability to get at least 1 kill 2. Throw appx 5 back-to-back Solar Grenades essentially carpet-bombing the battlefield 3. Use Phoenix Dive to proc Helion (if needed) 4. Shoot things with Solar Weapons 5. Repeat

Boss Damage Loop (Assuming Dragon's Breath Exotic Weapon) 1. Use Phoenix Dive to proc Helion (if needed) 2. Pop Super 3. Shoot Dragon's Breath 4. Super Snap 5. Super Grenade 6. Repeat Steps 3-5 till Super runs out 6a. Dragon's Breath will auto-reload after an ignition 7. Use Normal Ability loop 8. Shoot Dragon's Breath after each round of Grenade Spam
