Build Details
This build can survive off of ability damage or weapon damage! Here are some options for best builds with the Stoicism exotic class item:
Spirit of Inmost Light + Spirit of Scars (For survivability and support) Spirit of Inmost Light + Spirit of Star-Eater (For boss damage/burst damage) Spirit of Inmost Light + Spirit of Synthoceps (More ability damage)
As far as weapon choices go:
Any Strand weapon with Pugilist or melee centered perks will be strong. This will become your anti-barrier champion weapon.
Choir of One with Onslaught refit paired with Targeting Autoloader for general flexibility.
A void heavy generally speaking will do work, especially for the spirit of scars build.
Kill a thing with grenade? Kill things with Choir of One or Commemoration If Stoicism has Spirit of Scars, heal yourself and teammates.
Kill a thing with melee? Kill with Breachlight. (This will become your anti-barrier champion weapon)
Use melee on CD and Super on CD
