Build Details

How It Works

This build, as the name implies, is as good as the user. With a well rounded kit to match the under appreciated Flux Grenade, you will find yourself laughing at the sheer amount of "earned" kills you will be racking up.

The build is best played when you prioritize a more defensive and area control oriented play style.

Weapons

  1. Salvager's Salvo
  • Demolitionist + Chain Reaction This is the one and only mandatory weapon in the entire kit. This is for 2 reasons. For one, it sports 2 beneficial perks in chain reaction and demolitionist. This allows for the grenade to recharge faster alongside some extra crowd control if enemies group up too much. For two, it fits into the build very well thematically. You have to admit that it's hilarious to kill someone with a one shot weapon to feed a one shot ability.
  1. Any Demo Primary
  • Hand Cannon/Auto Rifle You can select any primary of your choice so long as it is a Hand Cannon or an Auto Rifle. These two choices are good pairings with Salvagers alongside the needed medium range flexibility. I myself use an Eyasluna with Rangefinder and Demolitionist. It duels extremely well while also feeding into the grenade uptime.

Exotic

  • Eye of Another World This exotic was the go to pick for this build as it provides a potent 50% bonus recharge rate for all 3 abilities. Thus making the uptime quite high. It also gives the added bonuses of 15 AE and the ability to occasionally counter Invis hunters. It's a lazy pick, but it's the best for consistent uptime.

Mods

  1. Arms
  • Fastball + (MAYBE) Firepower Fastball turns the Flux grenade into a mini pre nerf Mountaintop. Trust me when I say it's needed. The amount of times where the grenade sticks an enemy from an outrageous distance is shockingly high if you can aim a projectile well. If you want to build even harder into the uptime of the nade then it's alright to use a firepower mod. I prefer dex mods over this however as the uptime is quite good as is.
  1. Legs
  • Absolution + Innervation These two combined give back 15% grenade energy from one orb pick up. Which is massive when you account for how much is going towards the grenade's uptime. Not to mention the extra 5% to both the melee and rift for the added annoyance of spam.
  1. Class Item
  • Reaper + Bomber x2 Reaper allows for orb generation (see "Legs" for why it's important). Plus, bomber x2 gives a nice little bump to the Flux's recharge rate. While minimal, it always is nice to have.

Subclass

While odd at first glance, the combination of Lightning Surge and Arc Souls is insanely good. While yes, you could generate ionic traces and get amplified, the reality is that it comes up so infrequently that it wastes the potential of having some insanely good ways of benefiting each engagement.

  • Arc souls lets you deal a small amount of passive damage. While it may feel like a waste of an aspect, the extra benefit is hard to look over. When nearby allies, you gain extra rift recharge rate. Which helps with utilizing reaper more on top of the 50% from Eye of Another World. And since the build makes you play into the anchor of the team, you will more often than not be around one or more teammates.

  • Lightning surge needs no introduction here. It is the hand holders worst nightmare. I like to pair it with chain lightning for the faster recharge rate alongside a good panic melee that acts like a weaker lightning surge with pre nerf warlock melee lunge.

Two of the fragments are pretty self explanatory. Sprint for more rift energy and get 200% bonus recharge rate for having your shields broken. But the other two are good for the niche neutral game benefits. One allows for a quick burst of extra damage when an imbecile is foolish enough to get too close, allowing for some unearned kills on some occasions. The other assists in peppering up handholders when you stick an enemy with the Flux grenade. And on some occasions, you can get multi kills from the jolt if enemies stand too close to a stuck teammate.

Use any super and glide you'd like. I just prefer burst and storm caller.

Extra

The build is pretty simple as is. Get kills for more grenade energy while also having some added passive energy from playing the game and gathering orbs. Show your immense "skill" with one shotting enemies and repeat.

It is recommended to run 100 recovery and at least 80 discipline on the stats. Intellect and Strength are not needed, so have them at 30 minimum. Resilience and Mobility are the preferential stats. I prefer 50 mobility for better strafing and dueling. However, you can have more resilience if you care more about breakpoints. My stat split is as follows:

  • 50 Mobility
  • 50 Resilience
  • 100 Recovery
  • 90 Discipline
  • 30 Intellect
  • 30 Strength

Anything not listed nor discussed is on you to choose and equip for the weapons and mods. This also goes for the artifact too. Shieldcrush is good, but not good enough to warrant electrostatic mind over either of the aspects. Trust me I've tried. However, I highly discourage using Traveler's Chosen as it doesn't complement the intended play style. The build plays best when you can be the anchor for your team.

I do hope that you find as much sick enjoyment from all the "hard earned kills" with all the skill you will be expressing on the battlefield! And remember! "You worked very hard for those insta-kills. The other team just wasn't good enough to not die to them "
