While you have a Void Super equipped, rapid Shotgun final blows or defeating a powerful combatant with a Shotgun will grant a Void overshield and start health regeneration. While you have a Void overshield, Shotguns deal additional damage, and Shotgun final blows refresh the overshield. Provides a moderate benefit to Shotgun airborne effectiveness and reload speed.

Build Details

How It Works

THIS BUILD USES THE NEW SLAYER'S FANG SHOTGUN!! The Loadout above, with Scavenger's Fate featured, is nearly as viable for this build however, the only change would be to the surge mods to further boost Legend of Acrius

This build utilizes the No Back Up Plans' (NBUP) ability to spam overshields and get a 35% damage empowering buff that stacks with surge mods to make Slayer Fang both a DPS monster and an add clearing machine.

NBUP provides an overshield (OS) for every 2 red bar or on every orange bar (or higher) kill. While the OS is active, any equipped shotgun gains a 35% damage buff. This in itself can loop nicely, but we're gonna take things to the next level with the Slayer's Fang Shotgun.

The Slayer's Fang is a new craftable, Void Exotic shotgun, released in Episode: Revenant's "Kell's Fall" Exotic mission. There are 2 perks of interest to craft on this gun for this build, depending on whether you want more survivability or more DPS.

Perk Option 1: Cascade Point - "Final blows or sustained precision hits with another weapon increases this weapon's rate of fire for a short duration."

Perk Option 2: Repulsor Brace - "Defeating a Void debuffed target* grants overshield"

*Void debuffs include weaken, suppression, and volatile.

Gameplay Loop
  1. Proc Overshield via Unbreakable OR Getting multiple kills with a Shotgun of your choice (ideally a legendary with Discord for ammo regen OR Slayers Fang)
  2. Collect orbs for Devour and Surge Mods
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2, using your Primary to get any special ammo (either via brick drops OR to activate Discord on your Legendary SG of choice)
  4. If you run into a Mini-boss/Boss level enemy, Use Slayer's to neutralize as quick as possible.

NOTE: Be sure to match Surge Mods to match your SGs of choice (be it Slayers Fang, Legend of Acrius, or even a Legendary DPS shotgun to pair with Tractor Cannon). This build is weapon damage type neutral, so you can use whichever damage type you want, so long as your loadout has a Shotgun to activate the OS and damage buff for your SG.
