You are a fortress that can withstand any assault, only to erupt with shattering ice and scorching fire. ​How It Works: The Core Gameplay Loop ​Your gameplay is a fluid cycle of defense, setup, and devastating execution. You will constantly be weaving between your ranged and melee weapons, using your abilities to control enemy positions and buff your damage. ​Phase 1: Engage and Control (Ranged) ​Open from a distance with the Polaris Lance. Your goal is to land four precision hits to proc The Perfect Fifth. This not only deals significant area-of-effect (AoE) damage but also applies Scorch to surviving enemies. ​Your Light-damage kills with Polaris Lance will trigger Facet of Balance, granting you melee energy for your next phase. ​For larger groups, throw a Glacier Grenade. This serves two purposes: it freezes high-threat targets instantly and creates a wall of Stasis crystals. These crystals are a key component of your offense. ​Phase 2: Shatter and Ignite (Mid-Range/AoE) ​The Stasis Route: With Stasis crystals on the field, shatter them. You can slide through them, shoot them, or use your sword. Facet of Ruin dramatically increases the size and damage of this shatter, turning your grenade into a devastating fragmentation bomb. Shattering enemies or crystals creates Diamond Lances for you to use. ​The Solar Route: If you have a group of enemies scorched by Polaris Lance, slide towards them and activate your melee to unleash Consecration. The first wave of Solar energy adds more Scorch, and the second slam will trigger a massive Ignition, which is also enhanced by Facet of Ruin. ​The Utility Melee: For a single, dangerous target (like a Champion or mini-boss), use Frenzied Blade. This will apply Sever, reducing their damage output, and grant you Radiant via Facet of Dawn, buffing your weapon damage by 25%. ​Phase 3: Unbreakable Assault (Close Quarters) ​Close the Gap: Swap to your Aurora-Dawning sword. Use the Thruster ability for a quick burst of speed to enter melee range or dodge a powerful attack. ​The Perfect Defense: The moment you anticipate damage, guard with your sword. Stronghold will grant you near-invincibility (DR x100). A well-timed guard just before an attack hits will trigger a "perfect guard," which heals you for a burst of health and grants you Tier 2 Restoration for continuous healing.
