Gain a second charge of your Shield Throw melee. Your Shield Throws now weaken targets, create a Void Breach on final blows, and become shield-piercing, stunning [Shield-Piercing] Barrier Champions and refunding a Shield Throw charge when you do. Picking up a Void Breach grants you Shield Throw energy.
Build Details
Buffs, Debuffs, and Abilities On Demand
While strong in general play, this build was specifically designed for Endgame PvE content by optimizing ability and buff uptimes while always having a means of debuffing enemies. Multiple buffs and debuffs can be up and applied at the same time, as damaging enemies and using abilities is always providing a buff, debuffing an enemy, and reducing one or more ability cooldowns.
This build was also designed to be future-proof, providing intrinsic anti-champion utility further enhanced by the current Artifact perks.
Key Components 1. Monte Carlo
- The unmatched king of melee regeneration, Monte Carlo allows for maximized uptime of your melee ability by damaging and defeating your targets
- Radiant will make Monte Carlo strong against Barrier Champions
- As a kinetic weapon, damaging targets will also grant you both Light and Darkness Transcendence energy, which will be generated quickly as the weapon is your primary means of damaging targets outside of your melee
- The Artifact perk Elemental Siphon gives Monte Carlo the added utility of spawning Void Breaches to recharge class ability energy
2. Indebted Kindness with Voltshot
- Indebted Kindness for the built-in utility to quickly clear low-health enemies with chained Arc damage and do chunk damage to higher health targets while rapidly charging your Light Transcendence energy and stunning Overload Champions with Jolt, as well as Unstoppable Champions with the Unstoppable Sidearm Artifact Perk
- Receives a 25% damage buff when Overcharged
3. Ill Omen
- Roll: Jagged Edge, Swordmaster's Guard, Duelist's Trance, and Cold Steel
- Great for general ad clear and major/boss burst damage, with the added utility of slowing Overload Champions and Freezing Unstoppable Champions with Cold Steel
- Radiant will make Ill Omen strong against Barrier Champions
- As a Stasis weapon, defeating and Shattering targets will spawn Diamond Lances
- Damaging enemies will generate Darkness Transcendence Energy (heavy attack hits contributing massively with damage over time on hit), and the weapon becomes Overcharged from Overcharged Armory for a 25% damage buff
- Ill Omen will do additional damage against Vex enemies with the Logic Reductor Artifact Perk
4. Second Chance
- The additional Shield Throw charge allows for increased uptime for all buffs and debuffs applied through melee damage. The intrinsic Anti-Barrier and instant melee recharge on stunning a Barrier Champion is a permanent solution to Barrier Champions.
- Hitting a single enemy with Shield Throw will activate both sides of the Shieldcrush Artifact Perk
- Additional melee charge also grants additional Consecration use
5. Chest Armor Elemental Damage Resist Mods
- These are interchangeable depending of the activity modifiers
6. Facet of Protection or Facet of Purpose
- Interchangeable depending on the activity, as Facet of Protection will provide increased damage resistance in enemy-dense situations, while Facet of Purpose will increase buff uptimes through orb collection
Build Buffs and Debuffs 1. Void Overshield
- Bonus 50% damage resistance
- Gained from Shield Throw hits and Facet of Purpose (if equipped)
2. Radiant
- Bonus 25% weapon damage against enemies, weapons become strong against Barrier Champions
- Gained from powered melee hits (Shield Throw, Consecration) and Orbs of Power (Radiant Orbs Artifact Perk)
3. Weaken
- Enemies receive 15% more damage from all sources
- Applied by Second Chance Shield Throws and Twilight Arsenal
4. Scorch/Ignite
- stacking damage over time resulting in a heavy damage area-of-effect explosion
- Ignite is strong against Unstoppable Champions
- Applied by Consecration
5. Jolt
- Jolted targets chain Arc damage to other nearby targets with continued attacks against the Jolted target chaining additional Arc damage, strong against Overload Champions
- Applied by Voltshot and the Titan Prismatic Grenade: Electrified Snare
6. Slow
- Decreases enemy movement and attack accuracy, strong against Overload Champions
- Applied by rapid continuous strikes with the Cold Steel Weapon Perk and the Creeping Chill Artifact Perk
7. Freeze/Shatter
- Freeze locks enemies in place with additional applied damage resulting in Shatter, a burst of AoE damage scaling off the source of the Freeze, strong against Unstoppable Champions
- Applied by rapid continuous strikes with the Cold Steel Weapon Perk, and Diamond Lance
8. Sever
- Reduce enemy damage output by 40%
- Applied by the Facet of Solitude by landing rapid precision hits
9. Suspend
- Lift enemies in the air rendering them unable to do damage, strong against Unstoppable Champions
- Applied by Shackle Grenade and the Titan Prismatic Grenade: Electrified Snare

- Damage target with weapons until low health
