Dealing damage while grounded charges antigrav repulsors. Dealing damage while airborne extends antigrav repulsors. [Alternate Weapon Action] to disengage antigrav repulsors.

Armor

After landing a final blow while at full health, or when out of combat for an extended duration, your shields will slowly recharge into an overshield.

When you have an overshield, your weapons gain increased accuracy, stability, handling, and damage against combatants, and final blows will grant a short period of increased mobility once the overshield is depleted.

How It Works

When Fortune's Favor was released, a lot of us dismissed it as a pvp exotic and moved on. Others used it for sleeper dps. But never have I seen anyone using it with the Manticore.

The Manticore, with the catalyst, gives you an overshield when firing while airborne. To me, this looked like the perfect exotic to pair it with to have a constant uptime on a 25% damage buff to my weapons.

The idea with this build is straight forwards: apply as many damage buffs to the Manticore as possible. Other that Fortune's Favor, we can get radiant, volatile rounds, and surge mods.

To get radiant, we would generally use acrobats dodge. However, with the Manticore, we spend our time airborne, making it useless. So instead, we are using facet of dawn to get it on melee hits. Como Blow is useless because we are airborne. Of the remaining choices, I prefer threaded spike for high uptime and sever. You could also opt for smoke bomb with facet of solitude for both weaken and sever, or just use withering blade for slow.

To gain volatile rounds, we are using facet of bravery? with our grenade. Duskfield grenades can't technically get a kill so that one is off the table. I prefer magnetic grenade for high single target damage and optional weaken with facet of dominance.

Surge mods require orbs of power, so we need ways to make orbs. The most obvious way is with void siphon on our helmet to make orbs with the Manticore. The next is firepower on our arms to make orbs with our grenades. I don't like heavy handed for this build because we aren't trying to get melee kills, but we are trying to get grenade kills. We are also more likely to get grenade kills in high end content that kills with our meleees(because we are using threaded spike of smoke bomb.) The other two ways are reaper on our class item and attrition orbs on a festival flight.

For aspects, use ascension and threaded spectere. This allows for us to ascension into the air to use the Manticore as well as use it while we are using the Manticore. (Side Note: using ascension while you are airborne with the Manticore does not give height. You stay at the same height, and are still using flight stabilizers when ascension is done.) We then get amplified for survivability and threaded spectere removes agro. You could also use winters shroud with ascension for added slow, or use gunpowder gamble for add clear. I would not suggest stylish executioner because we are constantly firing our weapons, so it feels pointless. The whole build is based on a tight set of damage buffs that the time you spend invisible basically ends all of your buffs, bringing you back to square one.

For the kinetic slot, the weapons are up to you. I like running lost signal with auto loading, or the call with demolitionist. However, neither of those work for avant garde. So if you need new weapons, festival flight with demo attrition orbs works well, but it slows you down because you have to reload it. You could also use mint retrograde, but I feel like area denial gls work the best.

And for heavy, I would suggest submersion or a machine gun. Try to either run a void weapon or match the event of you kinetic slot weapon. This allows for more orbs from siphon mods. Basically, chose the side (light or dark) that will fill the other side of your transcendence meter. I would not suggest using a rocket or gl because or the close quarter combat and the merging of the two.

Armor set bonuses wise, I used two piece smoke jumper and two piece ferropotent. You could also run two piece smoke jumper with two piece Bushido for healing when you pull out your area denial gl. I haven't tried it, but you could also use a four piece shrewd survivor set.

The final topic is the topic of super. Now, golden gun without celestial nighthawk is not fantastic. We would probably be better to run tether. However, facet of purpose states that picking up an orb or power grants an elemental buff depending on your supper. And for void, that is an overshield. That is not helpful in this build, but woven mail or restoration is. And of the two, I prefer restoration. If you run out of flight stabilizers and your overshield is broken, you are kind of screwed. Fortune's Favor will only grant an overshield if you are at full health. So if you have a solar super equiped, you gain restoration, which will restore your health, helping you to get your overshield back.

Gameplay Loop

1) Charge up Antigrav Repulsors. 2) Ascension into the air and start firing the Manticore. 3) Throw Threaded Pike and Magnetic Grenade and continue firing. 4) Use Ascension and Festival Flight as needed. 5) Recharge Antigrav Repulsors whenever you are on the ground. 6) Rinse and repeat. :)
