Build Details

How It Works

So this build has a lot going on so bear with me.

All of your weapons are strand. This is the base of the build. That means that harmonic siphon, strand weapon surge, and strand reserves(if running double special weapons) all work on all of your weapons. With the fragment set up, picking up an orb of power grants: 1. Woven Mail for 5 seconds. 2. Strand Weapon Surge for as long as you have armor charge. 3. The ability to generate a tangle on your next kill.

Repeat this as your basic combat loop. For DPS, this is your loop: 1. Charge/Fire the grenade-enhanced Tessellation. 2. Fire your primary. 3. Wail on the boss with a bait n switch heavy.(I actually use Cataphract GL3 during damage phases. If you are just running the suggested machine gun, forego the primary shot, but keep the Tessellation one.

Some things to note: 1. Try to keep a charged shot inside of Tessellation(it stays while stored). The exception thought, is to try to keep one grenade charge(when using Widows Silk). If you get a group multi-kill with the Tesselation charge, it will basically grant the grenade back, so you should be able to continue with just using the first charge, leaving the second charge for actual combat and escape. A primary with Demolitionist is helpful here. 2. If you need an extra Tangle, your Trowing Dart can make a Tangle. If not, kills with it will grant Unraveling Rounds, which kills with or against combatants affected by it can create Tangles. 3. This one is somewhat obvious, but some people don't know about this. Woven Wail does not protect against all damage. Gasp It does not protect against melee and precision damage. You can still feel the effects of it, I just personally prefer the feeling of having an overshield. Woven Mail also generally last for 5 seconds, and the only way to get a 10 second version is with specialty Hunter and Titan exotic armor. I just don't feel the effects of Woven Mail to really want to make it a big part of this build.

Gameplay Loop

Basic Loop:

  1. Get rapid kills with Breachlight to make an orb of power.
  2. Defeat a target with woven mail active to make a tangle.
  3. Throw the tangle into a dense area of enemies or into a tough combatant.
  4. Grapple Away.
  5. Repeat.
