While standing in any rift, damaging a target will mark it. You deal extra damage to marked targets, and gain additional bonus damage with weapons that have a damage type matching your equipped Super. Weapon final blows while standing in any rift pause the rift's countdown, extending its duration.

Build Details

How It Works

Solar Weapon DPS:

  • Lord of Wolves - Close Up. Still good even with the nerf
  • Whisper of the Worm - Ranged. Have to land crits
  • Dragon’s Breath - Medium Range, Auto Reloads
  • Finality’s Auger - Getting some great QoL and an LFR
  • Sleeper Simulant - Solid and LFR
  • Apex Predator/Hezen Vengeance - Hezen is the best DPS heavy at the moment
  • Cataclysmic/Briar’s Contempt - Very solid LFR options but both are from raids.

Other Element DPS:

  • The Queenbreaker (Arc) - Probably best DPS in the game currently.
  • Legend of Acrius (Arc) - Strong close range option. Requires catalyst
  • Leviathan’s Breath (Void) - Always a solid precision option
  • Euphony (Strand) - Very solid option and provides Sever via artifact
  • Microcosm (Kinetic) - Doesn’t get the surges but takes the 10%. Don’t need to swap.
  • Legendary Heavy GLs:
    • VS Chill Inhibitor (Stasis)
    • Edge Transit (Void)
    • Wicked Sister (Strand)

Solar Add Clear Weapons

  • Goal is add clear to keep up buffs with Empyrean and generate ammo via Heavy Ammo Finder. Exotics generate ammo ~30% faster
  • Sunshot - Explosions with Scorch
  • Red Death Reformed - Free Resto x2 with Catalyst
  • Vex Mythoclast - Strong, LFR mode works with artifact
  • Heal Clip-Incandescent Legendary:
    • Luna’s Howl
    • Aberrant Action
    • Nullify
    • Summoner
