How It Works

This build relies on Solipsism with Spirit or the Assassin, and Spirit of Synthoceps.

The game play loop is very simple, just pretend you are an arc Hunter (with a few extra steps, and better). An outline of all damage bonuses and resistances will be provided at the bottom.

To begin the combo, throw a Coldsnap Grenade into a group of enemies and follow up with a Lightning Surge Melee. This will ensure you start the engagement with a chunk of Light and Dark energy towards Transcendence. Heavy Handed will provide an Orb of Power which gives you Radiant and Woven Mail (both of which will activate Shieldcrush), a weapon damage boost, and ability energy. Killing an enemy will proc Devour, and a large enough group will also provide Amplified which will feed into Shock and Awe for your Lightning Surge and provide Damage Resistance from Galvanic Armor.

At this point you should be invisible from your first engagement, now position yourself accordingly before switching to Monte Carlo. Utilize your Primary to refill your Melee energy and to mow down basic enemies even in end-game content. You can also switch to the Bayonet with the Monte Carlo Catalyst to refresh your invisibility if you need more time to maneuver.

For any larger enemies, swap to your One-Two Punch Shotgun to increase your Melee damage further. If done correctly, 2-3 successive Lightning Surge combos is typically enough to melt anything short of a boss, including Champions.

In summary, Ability kills will grant Devour which plays into excellent survivability. Spirit of the Assassin provides Invisibility to allow free movement around the battlefield. Spirit of Synthoceps provides a damage boost to clear harder content and larger enemies. Lightning Surge hits hard and Jolts anything that survives the first hit. Coldsnap keeps enemies from scattering and provides a chunk of Darkness energy for Transcendence. Monte Carlo provides Melee Energy, Transcendence Energy, hits very hard, and stabs. Your One-Two Punch Shotgun allows your Melee to clean up the thicc'est of enemies. You will have more timers on your screen than you can track, all of which will offer damage boosts, resistances, and ability regeneration throughout the fight.

Transcendence should charge quickly so feel free to utilize it as a miniature super to clear more enemies or provide uninterrupted Melee damage rotations to bosses.

Note: The mod setup can be adjusted for personal playstyle. I like a combination of ability regen plus weapon damage, but you get enough Melee energy from Monte Carlo that you can easily swap all Melee mods to make room for another Kinetic Surge, Bomber, etc. The biggest one to keep is Heavy Handed for Orb Generation.

Damage Boost Calculations

Monte Carlo: Markov Chain (65%) + Targeted Autoloader (20%) + Radiant (25%) + Kinetic Surge x1 (10%) + Overload/Overcharged Auto Rifle (25%) = 145% Damage Bonus. (Exotic Primaries also deal 30% more to Minor enemies) (The Bayonet also receives a 100% damage bonus from Synthoceps)

Melee: Synthoceps (165%) + One-Two Punch (100%) + Shieldcrush (25%) + Facet of Courage (10%) = 300% Damage Bonus.

Damage Resistance Calculations

Facet of Protection (15%) + Woven Mail (45%) + Galvanic Armor (30%) = 90% Damage Reduction. (Facet of Protection increases to 25% while Transcendent.)

Gameplay Loop

Step 1: Throw a Grenade and Lightning Surge into a group of Enemies.

Step 2: You should now have Amplified, Radiant, and be Invisible. Surge into another group of Enemies.

Step 3: Refill Melee Energy with Monte Carlo

Step 4: Swap to One-Two Punch Shotgun for thicc'r Enemies

Step 5: Profit
