While standing in any rift, damaging a target will mark it. You deal extra damage to marked targets, and gain additional bonus damage with weapons that have a damage type matching your equipped Super. Weapon final blows while standing in any rift pause the rift's countdown, extending its duration.

Build Details
Be sure to take advantage of active empowering rift because Sanguine grants and additional 10% to marked targets from all sources. Sources like Bleakwatchers, hellion, unravel nanites, even thunderlord lighting strikes. Also now grants 4x Surges
Then use Scalar Potential to make orbs and stromtrance to clear ads.
Heritage take out barrier champions make sure to stack elemental kills to increase damage via recombination perk.
Use finishers to generate ammo for heritage, along with activating Facet of defiance ( jolt) + Artifact - Debilitating wave with boost to blind.
Use Sanguine in conjunction with Empowering rift + transcendence for ultimate DPS dmg with thunderlord.
