Behold, the Sphere!
Object of this build is to be a one man void army while being near invincible, constantly applying various verbs to enemies and allies. The gameplay loop is addicting.
Exotics - Relativism with Inmost Light (negotiable) and Gyrfalcon
Weapons:
- Primary: whatever champion killing gun the activity requires
- Secondary: Ruinous Effigy
- Heavy: a void GL
Verbs Applied:
- Volatile: from Gyrfalcon
- Weaken: from Smoke Grenade, Concussive Reload Mod, Supernova Mod, Stylish Executioner melee
- Suppress: from Heavy Ruinous Sphere attack
- Disorient: from Ruinous Sphere Drain/Guard
- Devour: from Power from Pain Mod
- Jolt: from Ascension
- Amplified: from Ascension
Create Void Breaches via Facet of Awakening and Facet of Command (and Power from Pain if using that tonic)
The Sphere has three attacks: -disorienting/healing/damage resisting Drain/Guard -Light Attack -suppressing Heavy Slam
All three attacks are considered void weapon damage. Drain/Guard attack can be used while invisible. Drain/Guard provides an 80% damage resist and gives immunity to boss stomps. Holding Drain/Guard past ammo timer will cause self damage. Ruinous Effigy gains a 30% damage buff against targets damaged by a Sphere heavy slam for 15 seconds.
A Harmonic/Void Holster mod will refill Ruinous Effigy while holding a Sphere.
You can utilize Grapple and Ascension while holding the Sphere without losing it. Dodging will drop the Sphere. Grapple around the map to get from one ad spawn to another with the same Sphere. Use Ascension to apply Jolt and Amplified.
The seasonal mods really add some extra spice to an already good build. You will be making Void Breaches as fast as the game will let you, making your Sphere hits spawn the Old God's Rite portal and create the weakening blast from Supernova.
Use either Refined Tonic of Void Shrapnel or Refined Tonic of Weakening Void.
Gameplay Loop:
Begin attack by throwing a smoke grenade at the enemy to apply a Weaken. Kill this enemy with Ruinous Effigy to both create a Sphere and proc Stylish Executioner.
Now that you have Sphere and are invisible attack an enemy to proc Volatile. Now any attack with the Sphere will apply Volatile.
Use a combination of Drain/Guard and Light Attack to spread Volatile over a wider area.
Once ammo timer is close to the end or coming across a chunkier enemy, use Heavy Slam to do big damage, mark targets for Ruinous Effigy damage buff, and suppress.
Use Gamblers Dodge to refill smoke bomb charge and collect orbs. Clean up whatever isn't dead to make a new Sphere and repeat the process.
You can utilize Grapple and Ascension while holding the Sphere without losing it. Dodging will drop the Sphere. Grapple around the map to get from one ad spawn to another with the same Sphere. Use Ascension to apply Jolt and Amplified.
