OVERVIEW

  • ACD/0 Feedback Fence grants Armor Charge on any form of Melee hits, including Uncharged and Glaive Melees, grants Melee Damage Resistance per Armor Charge (Melee Resist = only direct Melee attacks, unlike the Chest Combat Mod), and receiving direct Melee damage releases an Arc Burst that scales damage per Armor Charge consumed and applies Jolt. Both of which can have diminishing returns per stack. Arc Burst damage scaling: 90 | 130 | 170 | 200 | 225 | 245 . Melee Damage Resistance scaling: 23.3% | 46.7% | 70% | 73.3% | 76.7% | 80%
  • This Strand Into the Storm Variant provides both Ranged and CQC options that all contribute to gaining Armor Charge, Team Woven Mail via Tangles, Mobility with Grapple Grenade, plentiful Unravel and Sever, and a hefty Melee Damage Resist with a Jolting retaliation when you are in the thick of it and take a Melee hit.

In-Depth Explanation

Gameplay Loop
  • Start with a Flechette Storm Ranged Melee to gain Armor Charge, spread Unravel, and generate a Tangle on kill
  • Destroy, Grab, and Throw Tangles for Into The Fray's Team Woven Mail
  • Grapple Tangles (thrown or dormant) for style points, mobility, and a full refund on your Grapple charge
  • When Jolt occurs that is your indication that Armor Charge was spent and to use any form of Melee to regain Armor Charge again
  • Pick up Orbs for various benefits, most importantly 10sec Into The Fray Woven Mail duration refresh and Health
  • Flechette Storm Melees can be spaced out slightly to generate Orbs within the 1sec cooldown window
