Powered melee hits weaken targets. Powered melee final blows create a burst of energy that weakens nearby targets. Finishers and final blows against more powerful targets increase the radius of the burst and the length of the weakening effect.
Build Details
Felwinter's Helm applies a 30% debuff to everything in its area allowing you to shred through anything that might survive the carpet bomb of Lightning Surge. Arcance Needle gives you multiple uses and a longer range melee option to proc Felwinter's/Devour from a safer distance. Using a Void grenade with Tessellation allows you apply weaken from range as well though not as powerful. The blast radius from this alternate fire is fairly large letting you clear groups of ads quickly.
Recharging abilities is simple with Facet of Balance on top of Devour and Tessellation's exotic trait granting grenade energy and any weapon with Pugilist for melee. A Strand weapon like Rufus's Fury benefits from from Facet of Bravery and make it easy to build Transcendence energy.
The build leaves room for versatility in Super and grenade choice. Facet of Defiance will apply different effects on finishers depending on your Super and Tessellation's catalyst will apply different debufs by changing the grenade element: Arc - Blind, Solar - Scorch, Void - Weaken, Stasis - Slow, Strand - Sever, allowing you to deal with certain Champions as well.
- Use Lightning Surge when able to clear out groups, apply Felmwinter's weaken to anything that lives, and proc Unraveling Rounds and Devour.
- Load a Void grenade into Tessellation to apply weaken to help with Champions and bosses or clear out groups of ads.
- A weapon with Pugilist will help charge melee energy. Tessellation/Devour will help gain grenade energy.
- Arcance Needle can be used at a distance to proc Felwinter's and finishers create a larger burst of weaken in addition to volatile from Facet of Defiance.
