Maximizes guard stats on equipped Swords. You take reduced damage while blocking with a Sword. Rapidly damaging targets after blocking shots with a Sword grants restoration for a duration determined by the number of shots blocked.
Build Details
This is a GM Solar Stronghold/Ergo Sum build
The idea is to use a solar/gathering light Ergo Sum to reduce consecration downtime and synergize 2 things:
- the restoration given by stronghold (ember of solace and empyrean)
- Consecration with ember of char and ashes+ solar fulmination
It's an agressive build, you need to chase mobs to maintain restoration but once it's up, when you keep your guard up you're as close as invincible as possible
A solar Ergo with "the perfect fifth" is also an option (but IMHO less potent)
1) Guard with Ergo to get perfect guard charges 2) Kill a red bar to proc restoration 3) Switch to another weapon and use consecration 4) Switch back to Ergo to get more kills and maintain restoration 5) Use your healing grenade in case of emergency
