Activating Ascension or Tempest Strike throws bouncing explosives at nearby targets that jolt and damage them. Jolting nearby targets grants you damage resistance.

Build Details
Use combination blow to get started, then ascension to get your melee back. And continue that loop until you have 3 stacks of combo blow. Then use your grapple melee for A LOT OF DAMAGE! :) Granted not as much as you could do, but a solid amount without the proper buffs/exotics. And use Gifted Conviction for jolting targets, and solid survivability.
