Build Details

How It Works

Intro

The main point of this build is to keep abilities up as often as possible which are then used to grant us invisibility, healing, and both unravelling and volatile rounds, but there's a lot of other stuff going on that I'll talk about below.

Gameplay

The gameplay loop is pretty flexible, but it's mainly about using abilities either to go invis and heal you, or to grant your weapons powerful add clear buffs. The aspects, fragments and mods are all geared around maximising ability uptime and capitalising on finishers, which you'll be doing regularly to proc assassin's cowl. You can also run double special quite comfortably with this build in the current sandbox, and for that I'd probably pick wave splitter (or buried bloodline if i had it :( ).

Throw out threaded spike and switch to the call to spam unravelling rockets, or grapple melee into a group of targets to proc invis, unravelling and volatile, then dodge to collect orbs, create a strand clone and pick up an orb, giving further healing, woven mail and ability energy. You'll have no trouble spawning tangles too, given the unravelling and sever debuffs. This will ensure your darkness transcendence bar is rapidly filled. Woven mail and invis will further accelerate class ability recharge via Facet of Hope. On top of that, rapid darkness kills will grant further grenade energy via Facet of Balance.

Use gunpowder gamble (which also procs facets of balance and bravery) when its available to nuke groups of adds and proc volatile rounds. And utilise graviton lance or wave splitter to mow down enemies and fill your light transcendence bar.

Finally, in more difficult content or when special ammo is low, use finishers to grant more invis and healing than regular powered melee kills, as well as generate special ammo and release a severing burst from the target, further aiding survivability by debuffing surrounding enemies and allowing you to generate tangles from them on kill.

Gameplay Loop
  1. Grapple melee or threaded spike to trigger invis and proc unravelling and/or volatile rounds
  2. Spam The Call with unravelling rounds/graviton lance with volatile, depending on which are active
  3. Dodge to refund melee and deploy strand decoy for survivability
  4. Use finishers and powered melee (grapple or spike) for clutch invis + healing and (for finishers) to generate special ammo
  5. Use gunpowder gamble to proc volatile and graviton lance to top off light transcendence energy
