What is this? A Witch Queen Build in 2026?
Aeon's might be one of the most underutilized Support Exotics in the franchise. In fact, not since Lightfall has this Exotic had even an inkling of time in the sun! Even then, it was mostly getting paired with Cenotaph Warlocks for insane ammo drops for an entire FT.
So what's the big deal with it now?
Sect of Force is the ONLY stacking debuff in the game. I have used this extensively in the past with Voidwalker paired with Child of the Old Gods as a Dungeon debuffer. But thanks to the Artifact, this build can now extend to Titan.
How it works-
Place Barricade for an Overshield.
Throw Shield at high value target for debuff.
Poke/Stun with Collective Obligation for Sect of Force.
Utilize Grenade to extend debuff and regen abilities.
Watch high value targets melt!
Numerically, this is what is happening-
Sect of Force is a 20% debuff
Singularity Blade grants another 15% debuff with our Melee
Echo of Undermining can extend the 15% Void Debuff should it expire
x2 Void Surge is a +17% weapon buff
Collective Obligation can extend or apply the Void debuff
Collective Obligation has a +30% weapon buff while Void Leech is active
The grand totals here-
Target takes 35% more damage
Collective Obligation deals 47% more damage
While many are going to quote Tractor Cannon or Tether as comparable, this possesses greater uptime than Tether, and a safer playstyle than Tractor. All while offering the fireteam a variety of support abilities which we will now discuss.
The Overshields from Bastion are an always welcome utility, especially for many builds that synergyize with this Artifact. Then there's the healing from Controlled Demo, another utility that enables great aggression for oneself and allies alike. Lastly is the choice of Sentinel Shield as a the Super. This enhances Weapon Damage by 40% for allies. In theory, one can crank out their debuffs so the target takes 35% more damage, then pop Sentinel Shield to enhance allies for another 40% DPS.
Last up is the hotswap. In non-locked activities, players can freely swap to Sect of Insight to quickly spawn Heavy Bricks for their allies to keep DPS insured in extended encounters.
Don't sleep on old Exotic Weapons and Armor. They still have a niche that demands extensive creativity!
