Destiny 2 Hunter BuildPrismatic Gyrfalcon's
PvEFires a beam of Kinetic light, dealing massive bonus damage to shields.
Build Details
Why Prismatic? You can do anything Gyrfalcon's can do on void on prismatic, except for Vanishing Step.
Facet of Defiance works in conjunction with Stylish Executioner to allow you to go invisible with a finisher, which replaces Echo of Obscurity.
Facet of Awakening allows you to create Void Breeches to keep uptime on Marksman Dodge, replacing Echo of Cessation. It also makes tangles, which can be used for free grapple attacks.
Facets of Blessing & Dawn both work well in conjunction with Grapple, which counts as a melee attack, and Threaded Spike, which has a very low cooldown. The healing from Blessing helps replace the lack of devour, and adding Radiant to this build is a huge buff.
Facet of Hope helps keeps Marksman Dodge up for maximum uptime on Onslaught. This slot is truly discretionary and has plenty of options that work well. Facet of Solitude can also work well with Gyrfalcon's/
Weapons
Mountaintop with Recombination is very easy to build stacks for with all of the elemental damage we do, between Volatile, Gunpowder Gamble, and Grapple/Threaded Spike. It also pairs well with the kinetic surges used for Microcosm.
Any void weapon with Repulsor Brace will work here, helping increase survivability by a huge factor. However, Ros Arago IV is easily the best feeling option, and Marksman Dodge helps keep uptime on Onslaught stacks. When dealing with Champions it should be easy to find an appropriately typed weapon that has Repulsor Brace.
Microcosm feels amazing with Spirit of Galanor, and outputs a ton of damage.
Armor Mods
Helmet Hands On works with both the Grapple Melee and Threaded Spike, generating a ton of super energy. Harmonic siphon is obvious, and use whatever else you can fit/prefer.
Gauntlets Heavy Handed, Impact Induction, and Momentum transfer all proc off both Grapple and Threaded Spike, just like Hands On.
Chest Chest is reserved for whichever resist mods are most appropriate for the activty.
Legs Always 3x surges for the boots, although these can be switched to void if you want to use a different heavy.
Cloak Reaper is a constant source or orb generation. Powerful Attraction is optional, but a nice quality of life mod. Usually the last slot will be reserved for whichever ability energy from dodging mod you need.
Relativism Gyrfalcon's is mandatory... duh. Galanor fufills the perfect void hunter fantasy of equipping both Gyrfalcon's and Orpheus Rig at the same time.
In-Depth Explanation
1.) Start an encounter off with either Threaded Spike or Grapple to apply a debuff and go invisible.
2.) From there any kill you get with your primary will turn you back invisible, creating the Gyrfalcon's loop of invisibility.
3.) Spam your Threaded Spike as much as possible. Grapple off of the Tangles it creates when possible. Grapple or throw a melee any time you need to heal.
4.) Throw Gunpowder Gamble whenever you feel like it, you'll get it back quickly.
5.) Try and use your Tether/S+S on large groups of enemies for maxmim refund. Don't forget to unload Microcosm after each super!
