How It Works

With this build, you not only gain access to the strongest healing in the game to keep you alive, but you also have the highest weapon damage possible. That’s because for this build, we are taking the incredibly strong Sanguine Alchemy.

With this exotic, while standing in a Well of Radiance or Rift, you gain x4 super matching weapon surge. Now this is already higher than you can achieve on most builds, since we are getting an extra 3% damage from surges, but this gets taken even further since when we damage an enemy while in the rift or Well, it will mark them. These marked enemies that 10% more damage from the user. I know this doesn’t sound like a lot, but since these number are multiplicative, this means that accounting for Weapon surge, Sanguine, Well of Radiance, Particle Reconstruction, and even Limit Break, we can deal 185% more damage with our weapons. The even better part is how easy it is to get all these buffs going. Simply throw a healing grenade at your feet, and pop your Well. Now Limit Break will only last for 8 Seconds, however Since we will mainly be using Fusions and Linear Fusions, we don’t have to worry about adding in a weaken effect.

So we’ve established that Sanguine does really good boss damage. The next question we have to answer is what does our survivability look like. Well I’m a huge fan of Solar Warlock to gain access to Restoration x2. We can take the aspect, Touch of Flame, that way we can bring the healing grenade and it will now instantly give us a burst of health and Restoration x2 for 4 seconds. We then bring the Fragment, Ember of Empyrean, that way we can use our solar weapons and abilities to extend our Restoration buff. It is unrealistic to keep up this buff indefinitely since we will have to do all the mechanics ourselves, however this is a really good way to make sure you’re safe while doing any mechanics. So when our Restoration runs out, that’s when Sanguine will kick in. See the weapon damage buff is great, however we also get the blood magic buff for 5 seconds when scoring kills while in our rift. This buff will essentially pause the rift timer, indefinitely extending it for how ever long you kill. This gives you a really safe way to clear out enemies quickly and wait for your healing grenade to recharge.

Gameplay Loop

Ad clearing - I love starting most encounters by popping my rift to gain my weapon surge and to create a solar buddy. I then immediately throw my healing grenade at my feet to proc that Restoration x2. Now we can slay out with our boosted weapons and solar buddy to extend our restoration and rift timers. Once I have a decent amount of Restoration stored, I then like to do any mechanics. It’s also a good habit to make sure you have your healing grenade back before doing any mechanics, that way if you do run out of restoration or get in a pickle you can gain that quick burst of health and healing. You can periodically use your melee to scorch enemies if you need to quickly get back to your rift.

DPS Phases - Now it is worth mentioning, that since Sanguine gives super matching Weapon surge, you can choose to opt for a different Heavy like Queenbreaker and then after popping your well, hot swap to a different subclass like Arc for that matching weapon surge. However since this is a solo flawless build, I highly recommend just sticking to solar weapons since we don’t want to drain all of our ability energy, which could put us in a pickle when our Well runs out.

  • Our loop can change slightly depending on the boss and weapons we bring. For most bosses, I like to bring a Strand fusion. That way I can start out by creating an orb right before DPS phases, so that when I go into DPS I will have unraveling rounds and can proc Particle Reconstruction. I first start by shooting 1 burst of my strand fusion to proc both Debuffs. Then you want to throw your healing grenade at your feet to proc your solar buff which will proc Limit break. Then pop your Well of Radiance and start going to town with your Solar heavy. When your well runs out or you need to reposition, you can pop your rift to create a solar buddy and gain that weapon surge once more.
