Destiny 2 Warlock BuildSwarmers Barrow

First we have to talk about the 2 new Artifact perks that will really boost this build to the next level.

• First we have Vile Weave. Tangles will now inflict Sever upon dealing damage, plus when you pick up a tangle, your tangle cooldown is decreased, making them easier to spawn.
• Second we have To Shreds. Now dealing damage against severed targets unravels them and when killing a severed target, you create a strand hotspot, kind of like the titan aspect into the fray since this hot spot will give woven mail and heal you a small amount.
  • Of course woven mail is good but the main advantage of this perk actually comes from boosting it. Now, at a base level, unravel projectiles deal more damage and this is only increased on Severed enemies. The other hidden part of this is that it’s also boosting super damage and potentially all of you ability damage. Keep in mind that to be able to boost this perk, you have to reach rank 15 on the path of Ambition track to collect it from the shaping slab.

These 2 artifact perks are great but remember we have 2 more perks that are also insanely strong.

• Unraveling orbs gives you weapons unraveling rounds and when boosted it increases strand weapon damage against strand debuffed enemies.
• Plus we have Horde shuttle to create more threadlings by dealing damage against unraveled enemies and when boosted, threadlings will also sever targets.

Because so many of these take advantage of threadlings and tangles, I thought it was only right to land back on Swarmers. See with this exotic when you destroy a tangle, 2 threadlings spawn. This also makes threadlings unravel enemies but that part isn’t important. Which is why I landed back on Prismatic warlock. That way I could take the class exotic with spirt of the swarm to still create those threadlings from tangles. Ideally you’d want spirit of inmost light in the left column, but my best roll was with spirit of Apotheosis which is still pretty decent.

So the main Idea for the build is to collect and throw as many tangles as possible. This will shorten your cooldown on creating tangles, create a ton of threadlings, and sever enemies damaged by the tangles or threadlings. Don’t forget that collecting an orb OR a Tangle will also give strand weapons unraveling rounds meaning you can mass spread both sever and unravel. Then dealing damage to all those unraveled enemies will create more threadlings which will then go and sever enemies. That’s where To Shreds kicks in. So that killing those severed targets creates hotspots for more DR and all of your abilities and unravel will be dealing more damage.
