Destiny 2 Warlock BuildRime-Control
PvEFinal blows or assists with any other weapon or ability have a chance to create ammo for Ice Breaker. Defeating powerful combatants will create multiple rounds.
Your Bleak Watcher turrets are enhanced with extended range and are surrounded by Stasis crystals and a storm. While standing in the storm, you are granted icicles over time. Icicles activate when you fire your weapons, applying Slow to targets they hit.

The Exotic we are looking at today is Rime-Coat Raiment. This Exotic Chest piece will buff up your bleak watcher stasis turrets, here’s what it does:
- First, it creates 4 stasis crystals underneath your turret and they will respawn every 15 seconds. This can be really helpful in many situations, either to deal more damage when thrown near a boss, or to help quickly wipe out trash ads while standing near your turret.
- The Second thing this exotic does is create a stasis storm underneath your turret. While standing in this storm, you start working up stacks of icicles, while firing, an icicle will also shoot with your projectile, damaging and slowing enemies. This helps to add in more damage and also freeze more enemies.
What I love so much about this exotic is that you can play it numerous ways. You can use it more offensively by throwing your turrets at bosses or where enemies spawn to lock down areas and add in more damage.
Or you can use it more defensively. Throwing your turret at your feet and posting up underneath it. While playing near your turret, you gain the added icicle damage, and can easily take advantage of the crystals that spawn underneath it.
That’s why I love bringing a stasis weapon with Rime Stealer. That way whenever you want some added Damage Resistance, you can quickly shoot the crystals to gain stacks of Frost Armor.
There are 2 main ways to play this build. Mainly I like to play it defensively. This means that I find a spot that I like to then throw down a turret and start creating those crystals and freezing enemies. I then pop my healing rift to gain some immediate protection. At this point you could also shoot some of the initial crystals with your Rime Stealer weapon to immediately gain more DR. Then you want to either get a powered melee kill, or kill with shatter damage to proc devour. Oh and a helpful tip, you can create tangles from unraveled enemies if your melee doesn’t get the kill. These tangles can also proc devour when scoring a kill. From there you can keep shooting enemies with your weapons to deal a ton of shatter damage. In the process you will continuously gain back a ton of grenade energy to throw another turret when the current one runs out.
The other way to play it is to run it more offensively. By this, I mainly mean your turret placement. In this case, you’ll be throwing your turrets out towards groups of enemies. This can be really handy to add in more damage since the crystals will be spawning closer to enemies, adding in more damage.
Now, sometimes your devour won’t proc and it’s already pretty hard to gain back melee energy with the stats I’m taking, so It’s worth noting that I love to save my transcendence for these occasions. That way if I’m completely out of ability energy and on the move, I can pop my transcendence to gain back all of my ability energy, and when coming out of it, we will have our abilities ready and devour active.
