Build Details
This Prismatic Warlock build Outputs a ton of damage incredibly quickly. That’s because we using Nova Bomb. This one and done super already does a ton of damage at a base level, but we amp this up even further with 3 main components.
First, we bring Facet of courage, that way we can easily use a powered melee on the boss to proc a darkness debuff, causing all of our light based abilities to deal 10% more damage.
Second, we bring the vortex grenade paired with facet of Dominance so that the boss will be weakened taking another 15% damage.
Third, we bring the class exotic with Spirit of the Star-eater. With your super fully charged, you can pick up orbs of power to build up to 6 stacks of Feast of Light. At 6 stacks, your Nova bomb will be dealing an additional 50% damage.
Ideally your class exotic would also have Spirit of Inmost Light on it, but Star Eater is the most important perk.
All of these will combine to give your nova bomb a total of 90% more damage, but if you have a teammate procing the stronger weaken this can cap out at 115% more damage. Nova bomb is already one of the highest damage one and done supers, it’s usable at range, and it’s quick to use making it the perfect DPS super.
For this build I wanted to take this base line and push it even further. So I decided to bring the Microcosm as my exotic weapon. Now after we use that Incredibly strong super, Microcosm will deal 20% more damage. But with the seasonal Artifact perks we can go even further.
First we have limit break. While we have a super matching elemental buff, our Nova bomb will be dealing another 30% more damage.
I then brought the incredible combo of Microcosm paired with Harsh Refraction. Dealing 4 hits on a target that has any debuff will give Microcosm another 20% more damage.
But I don’t stop there, I then bring fact of Dawn to proc radiant for 20% more damage and 3 kinetic weapon surge mods to add in 22% more damage.
Adding it all up, at peak levels, our Nova bomb will deal 179% more damage. Microcosm will then be dealing 111% more damage. That’s the overarching concept, so let’s dive into the build and breakdown how it works.
With the start of every encounter you want to get an ability kill to proc devour for survivability and grenades. If you do have Spirit of Inmost light, I like to constantly spam all of my abilities, otherwise just keep throwing those grenades since devour will be feeding back a ton of grenade energy. In sticky situations or times you want to really melt, pop your transcendence for extra damage and ability energy.
For DPS phases, I like to use a powered melee, then grenade, then super, then melt with Microcosm. Your melee will unravel Procing facet of Courage, your grenade will then weaken, to let your nova bomb deal a ton of damage. Ideally you’d want to phoenix dive before the phase even starts to create a solar buddy for even more damage.
