Warlocks will gain the new Ionic Sentry aspect, which functions similarly to the Gunpowder Gamble aspect for Hunters.
As you defeat enemies using Arc weapons and abilities, you'll charge Ionic Sentry. Once fully charged, it grants a secondary grenade ability that overrides your preselected grenade. When ready, pressing the grenade button deploys a ball of Arc energy that acts as a stationary turret. On impact, it blinds nearby enemies and continuously fires bolts of lightning that chain through them. Defeating enemies with these bolts builds stacks toward additional charges.
These sentries are excellent for managing crowd control, and the blind effect can stun Unstoppable Champions, making this aspect a strong choice for endgame content.
Stormcallers will see significant buffs across all three super types.
Stormtrance: Damage increased by 20% against non-champion enemies. Lightning Surge: Damage increased by 30%. Chaos Reach: Damage increased by 15%. These changes enhance the potential of exotics like Geomag Stabilizers for delivering massive damage. However, Getaway Artist stands out as a superior option for Arc-focused builds.
Using Getaway Artist, you can consume your grenade energy to become Amplified and summon an Arc Buddy without the need for the Arc Souls aspect. This enables you to run both Electrostatic Mind and Ionic Sentry, turning you into a generator of Ionic Traces and Bolt Charges.
Ionic Traces are pivotal for ability uptime:
Each trace grants 15% class ability energy, and just over 12% melee and grenade energy. Adding Spark of Ions boosts trace and Bolt Charge generation. Including Spark of Amplitude improves super uptime and helps maintain weapon surges. Being Amplified now provides 15% bonus damage resistance, which is easy to maintain with Getaway Artist. Combining this with Spark of Resistance adds an additional 15% resistance when surrounded, enhancing survivability.
Weapon pairings for this build include:
Thunderlord, Legend of Acrius, and Centrifuse for raw Arc synergy. Necrochasm, as its Cursed Thrall explosions count as Arc damage. Ex Diris, with Loyal Seeker moths triggering blinds on impact. While Getaway Artist shines in versatility and survivability, keep an eye on the performance of Crown of Tempests. Its ability to boost energy generation from Ionic Traces synergizes well with the increased Stormtrance damage, extending its duration through consecutive final blows.
Exotic Perk: Dynamic Duo The main perk of the Getaway Artist allows you to consume your grenade energy to transform your Arc Grenade into a supercharged Arc Soul. This grants you an autonomous turret that aggressively targets enemies and deals consistent Arc damage. The Arc Soul lasts longer and deals increased damage compared to the standard Arc Soul from the Electrostatic Mind aspect.
Synergies with Arc 3.0: Amplified and Speed Boosts:
Arc Souls synergize well with the Arc 3.0 subclass, as their kills contribute to making you Amplified. Amplified grants a significant boost to sprint speed, weapon handling, and reload speed, improving both mobility and combat flow. Being Amplified enhances the aggressive playstyle of Arc 3.0 Warlocks, allowing you to close gaps or reposition quickly. Electrostatic Mind (Aspect):
Picking up Ionic Traces generated by ability kills (or other Arc energy kills) recharges your abilities faster. Since the Arc Soul is essentially an autonomous ability, it helps you produce more Ionic Traces, leading to faster grenade, melee, and rift regeneration. Arc Soul (Aspect):
This aspect lets you grant standard Arc Souls to yourself and allies when deploying your Rift. Combining this with Getaway Artist provides a supercharged Arc Soul for yourself while your allies still receive the standard version, enhancing team utility. Fragments for Damage & Ability Regeneration:
Spark of Shock: If paired with grenades like Arcbolt, your grenades can apply Jolt to targets, further chaining Arc damage when detonated. The Arc Soul can help finish off Jolted targets, triggering additional Arc chains. Spark of Discharge: Weapon kills have a chance to create Ionic Traces, further speeding up ability regeneration. Spark of Resistance: Provides damage resistance when surrounded by enemies, which pairs well with an aggressive, close-range playstyle encouraged by Amplified speed and Rift uptime. Combat Effectiveness: PvE:
The supercharged Arc Soul is excellent for add clear, especially in encounters with waves of enemies. The increased ability uptime through Ionic Traces helps maintain high DPS efficiency, as you can quickly cycle your grenade into another supercharged Arc Soul. PvP:
The Arc Soul provides extra pressure in duels by adding consistent chip damage, often forcing opponents to make mistakes or retreat. Amplified mobility and Rift utility make you harder to hit and allow quick disengagement or repositioning. Weapon Pairings: To maximize the benefits of Getaway Artist and Arc 3.0:
Arc Weapons: Weapons like Riskrunner synergize with Arc damage resistance and chain lightning capabilities. Trinity Ghoul excels in add clear when paired with Jolting enemies. Exotic Primaries: Ikelos SMG (v1.0.3): Can Jolt targets with Voltshot, increasing Arc synergy. Machine Guns: High ammo count Arc Machine Guns like Thunderlord complement the Arc theme with chain lightning. Summary: The Getaway Artist makes an Arc 3.0 Warlock build self-sufficient and lethal, combining strong ability regeneration, mobility, and autonomous damage from Arc Souls. This exotic is particularly valuable in builds designed for add clear, mobility, and synergizing Arc abilities with weapon kills.
Step 1: Consume Grenade for Arc Soul/ Amplified Step 2: Use Powered Melee. Step 3: Follow up with Weapons that have Jolt Step 4: Use Grenades and Ionic Sentries as available. Step 5: Only Consume Grenades when Arc Buddy is gone. Step 6: Use Super on High Value Targets
