Build Details
For the first time in a while, we’re gotten Glaive based Artifact perks. So when planning a Glaive build, it only seemed right to land back on strand titan. That’s because we can take the Aspect, Banner of War to not only gain healing for us and our team, but also to gain increased melee and glaive melee damage.
Now before we get any deeper, we have to talk about the exotic for this build. In reality you have 2 options, Sythoceps or Wormgod Caress. While at 3 or more stacks of Wormgod Caress, you will be dealing more damage than with Synthoceps. However Synthoceps doesn’t require kills to increase your damage and increases your super damage.
Both are great options, it really depends on what you’re going for. In most scenarios, Sythoceps are easier to use, but if you care about more weapon damage and don’t mind keeping up your stack of wormgod, it is technically better.
The other huge part of this build is our second aspect, Into the Fray. Now whenever we destroy a tangle, it release pulses that offer a small amount of health, but also give us and any nearby allies woven mail for 45% DR. It will be incredibly easy to create tangles so make sure you keep throwing them done for you and your team. In easier content I love bringing the grapple grenade so that you can also use the tangles as a free movement source.
And since the artifact will also make it incredibly easy to create threadlings, I’m also bringing thread of evolution to have them deal more damage.
You want to get a melee kill to start your banner of war for more healing and glaive damage. you then run around spamming your glaive melee! Pretty simple but very effective. Though I do have some helpful tips.
first, don’t forget about your Glaive’s Shield. The shield will block 97.5% of all damage so if you get in a tough spot just keep blocking to heal back up with your banner of war.
Second, the artifact boosts your glaive melee damage after blocking damage. So if you are about to deal damage to a boss or miniboss, make sure to block some damage first.
And finally, your final hit in a glaive combo will deal 100% more damage. This is normally the 3rd melee and will give you an audio cue when it hits. You can actually block right after hitting with it to cancel the animation and immediately start dealing damage again. So I like to also use this time to block more damage and reproc our artifact perks.
