Build Details
Looking for a strong Solar Titan build in Destiny 2: Edge of Fate? Forget the flashy new Melas Panoplia exotic gauntlets — they might look cool and feel fun in casual content, but when things get tough, they just don’t hold up.
Instead, let’s talk about a much stronger option: the Ashen Wake.
Ashen Wake turns your Fusion Grenades into high-damage tools that come back fast and can even stun Unstoppable Champions. Thanks to its Bring the Heat perk:
Your grenades explode instantly on impact.
Killing enemies with them gives you grenade energy back — more if the enemy is tougher.
For example, regular enemies give you 25%, while Champions can give you back 100% of your grenade energy.
This means you can spam grenades like crazy, especially in tougher content.
Healing & Sustain We're using the Ember of Resolve fragment. This gives you healing (60 health) every time you kill something with a grenade. And since your grenades are coming back fast, this gives you a steady stream of healing.
Stat Focus: Discipline (Grenade Cooldown) You want to maximize your Discipline stat, which lowers grenade cooldown and boosts grenade damage:
At 200 Discipline, you’ll deal +65% grenade damage and get +190% energy regeneration.
If you can’t hit 200, use Grenade Font armor mods. Each one adds:
+20 Discipline with 1 mod
+40 with 2 mods
+50 with 3 mods
So aim for around 150-160 base Discipline, and the mods will do the rest.
Aspects & Fragments We’re using two Solar Aspects:
Roaring Flames – Increases ability damage each time you kill with a Solar ability or ignition (up to +73% damage at 3 stacks).
Sol Invictus – Creates Sunspots when you kill with Solar abilities. Standing in them gives you:
Restoration (healing over time)
Bonus grenade + melee energy (+100% regen)
Fragments: Ember of Resolve – Grenade kills heal you.
Ember of Ashes – Your Scorch builds faster (helps cause ignitions).
Ember of Char – Ignitions spread Scorch to nearby enemies.
Ember of Blistering – Ignition kills give you grenade energy (8–25% depending on enemy strength).
Artifact Mods That Boost the Build Fever and Chill – Grants Radiant (20% bonus weapon damage) when you land back-to-back precision hits with a Solar weapon.
Shieldcrush – While Radiant is active:
+25% grenade damage
+25% grenade energy regen
Cauterizing Darkness – +30% Solar damage against debuffed enemies (like Severed/Unraveled).
Elemental Daze – Extra Solar explosion when you stun Champions.
Elemental Overdrive – +10% Solar weapon damage after grabbing a Firesprite.
Elemental Coalescence – Picking up a Firesprite gives even more grenade energy.
Recommended Weapons Exotics:
Dragon’s Breath and Finality’s Auger – Easy to use, high-damage options that work well with this build.
Polaris Lance, Sunshot, Tommy’s Matchbook, or Hard Light (Solar mode) – Great primaries for damage and Scorch synergy.
Legendary Trait Suggestions:
Incandescent / Burning Ambition – Spread Scorch and ignite more enemies.
Heal Clip – Heals you and nearby allies after reloading from a kill.
Demolitionist – Grants grenade energy on kills. Also refills your mag when you throw a grenade. (10% energy for most weapons, 20% for shotguns, fusions, glaives, and snipers.)
Armor Mods and Sets On your armor:
Ashes to Assets (Helmet) – More Super energy from grenade kills.
Firepower + Harmonic Siphon – Generates Orbs of Power, which help keep your Armor Charges up.
Recuperation (Boots) – More healing from Orbs of Power.
Armor sets to look out for:
Bushido Set – Offers built-in healing and damage resistance.
Collective Psyche (Raid Set) – Extends Radiant, Restoration, and Sever effects.
Final Thoughts There are tons of great builds in Destiny 2, but Ashen Wake Solar Titan is one of the most reliable for both high damage and ability uptime.
If you want a Solar build that:
Heals you constantly
Lets you throw grenades non-stop
Melts Champions and tougher enemies
Works great in solo or team content
Then Ashen Wake is the way to go.
Give this one a shot — you’ll be surprised how powerful it really is.
