How It Works

When it comes to soloing a dungeon there are 3 things you need to think about.

1) Do you have the ad clearing potential to make it to damage phase

2) Do you have the survivability to last in both the DPS and ad clearing phases

3) Can you deal enough damage to not have to go through extra damage phases.

So the first part I wanted to tackle was the Survivability. I really wanted to go with Prismatic Titan but in all honesty I find Solar titan to be the best at surviving any situation. While other subclasses offer more DR, Solar offers you easy access to restoration, and even ways to extend it.

And to address the ad clearing portion, With Solar titan, you can get infinite access to immensely strong throwing hammers that allow you to quickly wipe out any miniboss. Not to mention that we will continuously create sunspots that will damage and scorch targets and we have infinite up-time on Radiant for more weapon damage.

Finally for DPS phases, we will have access to radiant and weapon surges giving us maximum damage with our weapons, and we can use our super to deal some massive damage in those easy to die DPS phases.

When it comes to the exotic, Synthoceps is the best option, though you could alternatively run Loreley splendor for extra survivability but less overall damage.

Gameplay Loop

So what does this look like in action? Well, you want to start every activity by getting a throwing hammer kill in order to create a sunspot and start gaining stacks of roaring flames. passing through that sunspot you just created will give you restoration and you just gained radiant from using your powered melee. So now you can either keep killing with your melee or start using your solar weapon to extend that restoration and radiant up to 15 seconds.

When going into a DPS phase, you have 2 different options.

First using your super - if you have enemies that will be close to you, its a good idea to leave them alive so that you can proc your synthoceps buff by being surrounded. Make sure to get a powered melee kill right before heading into the damage phase to keep up your 3 stacks of roaring flames, pop your super and stand still while you throw hammers to stay in the sunspot and deal more overall damage. This will give you about 12 seconds of safety and about 1 million damage in the right scenario.

The second option is to use your weapons - I typically try to enter a damage phase by getting a powered melee kill to proc radiant, restoration, and create an orb for our weapon surge. If you have enemies close to you, you can get another powered melee kill when your radiant runs out to reproc it and create another orb, otherwise you can throw your hammer at the boss to reproc radiant and gain that extra 25% weapon damage. Since this option is a bit more risky, you want to make sure to enter the damage phase with as high of a restoration timer as possible, and when you get low on health remember to use your healing grenade at your feet.
