Solar final blows recharge your Barricade. While you have a Solar Super equipped, casting your Barricade unleashes waves of Solar energy that damage and scorch targets. Combatants damaged and Guardians defeated by these waves are enveloped in a Sunspot.

How It Works

Video Coming Soon

Today’s Prismatic build takes full advantage of the recent rework to the Khepri’s Horn exotic helmet.

At the launch of Heresy, this exotic received a complete overhaul of its Solar Rampart intrinsic trait, designed to bring its effectiveness in line with the current sandbox. The update has drastically improved Khepri’s Horn, making it a much stronger choice for Titans by offering increased utility, better survivability, and enhanced crowd control.

New Solar Wave Mechanics When deploying a Barricade, you now emit three Solar waves that travel 18 meters outward before returning to the Barricade. These waves can hit multiple enemies, each instance dealing 480 base damage. Since they return, enemies can be struck twice, effectively doubling the damage output.

Every hit applies Scorch, rapidly leading to Ignitions. Additionally, each Solar wave can create a Sunspot, meaning you can have up to three Sunspots active at once. These Sunspots inherit the Sol Invictus trait, remaining active for five seconds, healing you with Cure and Restoration—though these benefits are exclusive to Titans running Solar builds.

Enemies standing in Sunspots also take additional Scorch damage, allowing for chain Ignitions when combined with the Scorch from Solar waves. If enough enemies are caught in this cycle, you can trigger multiple Ignitions in quick succession, melting entire groups with ease.

Khepri’s Horn vs. Loreley Splendor This update makes Khepri’s Horn an even more viable alternative to Loreley Splendor, thanks to its enhanced Solar waves and Sunspot generation. Beyond that, Khepri’s also grants bonus Class Ability energy whenever you defeat enemies with any Solar damage source—with a 1-second cooldown and a 15% energy return per activation. This ensures rapid Barricade regeneration, even without armor mods or Fragments.

The only real drawback—aside from Khepri’s Horn being one of the ugliest exotics—is that you must equip a Solar Super to activate its effects. For Prismatic, this means running Hammer of Sol.

Why Prismatic Unlocks Khepri’s Full Potential On a pure Solar subclass, Khepri’s offers incredible synergy with Scorch, Ignitions, and Restoration, but Prismatic expands its utility even further.

By pairing it with Drengr’s Lash, you add Strand Suspend to your Barricades, creating a devastating combo—enemies are Scorched and Ignited by Solar waves while also being Suspended by Strand energy.

With up to three Consecration activations, you can seamlessly cycle between Solar and Strand effects, using Consecration slams to recharge Barricades and maintain a constant loop of Scorch, Ignitions, Sunspots, and Suspensions. This makes it an incredibly effective setup against dense enemy waves and high-ranking foes like Champions.

Instead of just spamming Consecration, this build focuses on tactical ability rotation, controlling engagements with well-timed Barricades that unleash devastating Solar and Strand effects.

While choosing Drengr’s Lash means sacrificing Knockout’s melee damage bonus and health regen, the build compensates with other healing sources and ability synergies.

Alternative Setup: Spirit of the Horn You can also access Khepri’s Horn through the Spirit of the Horn exotic class item. However, this sacrifices the bonus ability regeneration, making it a less optimal choice.

To further enhance Suspension uptime, we’re also running Shackle Grenades, ensuring we can effectively counter Unstoppable and Barrier Champions.

Prismatic Fragments & Their Role Facet of Dawn – Grants Radiance on Consecration hits, allowing weapons to pierce Barrier Champions and deal 20% bonus damage for five seconds. Facet of Courage – Provides a 10% damage boost to all Light-based attacks when enemies are Suspended. Facet of Blessing – Since we lack Knockout’s healing, this restores health on melee final blows. Facet of Purpose – Collecting Orbs of Power grants four seconds of Restoration, healing 35 HP per second. Facet of Balance – Killing enemies with Light-based abilities regenerates melee energy, while Dark-based kills regenerate grenade energy. Orb Generation for Sustain & Damage Boosts To ensure constant healing and Super energy:

Heavy Handed (Arms Mod) – Generates Orbs on powered melee final blows. Helmet Siphon Mods – Orbs on weapon kills. Reaper (Class Item Mod) – Orbs after using Barricade. This transforms you into an Orb-generating machine, providing Super energy, weapon surge uptime, and additional healing for yourself and teammates.

Weapon Loadout Recommendations To maximize Khepri’s effectiveness, Solar weapons are key.

Legendary Picks:

Incandescent + Heal Clip weapons – Amplifies Scorch spread while keeping you alive. Abberant Action (Sidearm) – Pierces Barrier shields. BXR, Abyss Defiant, Heliocentric – Excellent Solar primaries. Fusion Rifle Options (Unstoppable Champions):

Eremite, Cartesian Coordinate – Leverage seasonal Unstoppable mods. Exotic Weapon Recommendations:

Dragon’s Breath – Lays down sustained Solar damage, triggering Ignitions and generating Firesprites for grenade energy. Sleeper Simulant/Xenophage – Synergizes with Particle Reconstruction, increasing damage and providing partial reloads when applying sustained fire. Heavy Machine Guns/Rocket Launchers – Hold the Line & Heavy Ordnance Regeneration mods grant bonus health regen, increased damage resistance, and extra ability energy. Strand Artifact Mods & Additional Utility This season offers several Strand-focused artifact mods, enhancing the build further:

Unravel & Hatchlings for Strand Weapons – Adds more crowd control and damage. Enhanced Sever – Further reduces enemy damage output, essential for endgame content. Severed enemies deal 40% less damage, making it a crucial survival tool. Weapons like The Call & Scatter Signal integrate well with these mods.

Final Thoughts on Khepri’s Rework The improvements to Khepri’s Horn are among the most impactful changes in Heresy, transforming it into a highly effective exotic. With this build, it excels in both Solar and Prismatic setups, offering sustained healing, explosive crowd control, and near-unmatched ability uptime.

If you’re looking for a new Titan playstyle that balances Solar destruction with Strand crowd control, this is one of the most versatile and powerful setups available.

Gameplay Loop

Step 1: Cast Barricade to Suspend/Scorch Step 2: Perform Consecration Step 3: Stand in Sunspot for Health Regen. Step 4: Use Shackle Greande to Suspend Step 5: Perform Consecration Step 6: Use Barricade when available Step 7: Follow up with Solar Weapons Step 8: Use Transcendency when ready Step 9: Use Super on Dense Waves of Ads (IT'S NOT A HIGH DMG SUPER)
