Destiny 2 Hunter BuildThe PERFECT Omnioculus Prowler Build!

This weapon marks targets with an automated targeting system. Final blows on marked targets generate a telemetry pattern. Collecting a telemetry pattern grants ammo to this weapon. Collecting 3 telemetry patterns without dying grants this weapon bonus damage for a long duration and refills the magazine.

Exploring a New Void Hunter Build: On the Prowl & Omnioculus Synergy
Today, we’re diving into a powerful new Void build made possible by the introduction of a brand-new Aspect: On the Prowl.
When paired with the right selection of Fragments and Exotics, this Aspect provides unmatched survivability—helping you and your fireteam push through even the toughest encounters.
What Is On the Prowl? This new Aspect, available from Ikora Rey, is exclusive to the Nightstalker subclass, bringing unique benefits to Hunters.
Whenever you go invisible, a nearby enemy is marked and highlighted for both you and your teammates. Defeating that marked enemy creates a cloud of smoke, applying a 15% weaken debuff to nearby enemies. Walking into this smoke grants invisibility, and another enemy becomes marked. Allies who pass through these smoke clouds also become invisible, giving them a chance to reload, reposition, or escape danger. The smoke cloud remains for 4-5 seconds and can be reactivated for additional invisibility. With multiple ways to trigger invisibility within the Void subclass, we can dive into fights, land lethal blows, disappear, relocate, and attack from unexpected angles—shifting invisibility from a defensive tactic to an aggressive tool.
Synergy with Omnioculus While several Exotics pair well with On the Prowl—such as Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk, Graviton Forfeit, and Assassin’s Cowl—Omnioculus stands out for high-level content like Nightfalls, Dungeons, and Raids.
Why Omnioculus? Omnioculus grants:
An extra Smoke Bomb via its Beyond the Veil intrinsic trait. Damage resistance (50%) when turning invisible, stacking with Frost Armor, Woven Mail, and Void Overshields for near-invincibility. Bonus melee energy (50%) per ally made invisible—including those benefiting from On the Prowl’s smoke clouds. Additional melee energy regeneration when defeating marked targets. This means as long as we stay close to our teammates, we can maintain constant invisibility, weaken enemies, and boost survivability for the entire fireteam.
A Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk build may be better for solo play with Stylish Executioner, but since we’re focused on team support, Omnioculus + On the Prowl is the superior choice.
Key Fragments for Maximum Effectiveness To further enhance this build, we’ve selected the following Fragments:
Echo of Persistence – Extends the duration of invisibility, Devour, and Void Overshields, allowing Omnioculus’ resistance buff to last longer. Echo of Undermining – Grants Weaken to our Vortex Grenades, adding an extra 15% debuff to enemies. Echo of Harvest – Defeating Weakened enemies generates Orbs of Power and Void Breaches, fueling ability regeneration. Echo of Starvation – Picking up Orbs of Power or Void Breaches grants Devour, providing health regen and grenade energy. Echo of Obscurity – Performing a Finisher grants invisibility, ensuring we always have a way to vanish if needed. With these Fragments, our build delivers: ✔ Consistent invisibility uptime ✔ Team-wide survivability boosts ✔ Ability energy regeneration ✔ Stackable damage resistance ✔ Multiple Weaken effects for added team DPS
Weapon Recommendations For weapons, we’re looking at synergies with Void, Strand, and artifact perks this season.
Primary Weapon Choices Slayer’s Fang (Exotic Shotgun) – Exceptional range, Overload Champion stun, and multi-target damage make it a top pick. Choir of One – Strong alternative, but requires ammo management. Lorentz Driver – With its recent buffs and artifact mod Particle Reconstruction, it offers increased damage and automatic reloads. Mistral Lift, Glacioclasm, and Eyes Unveiled – Great Legendary Fusion Rifle options. Strand Weapon Options Scintillation, Euphony, Nox Perennial, and Scatter Signal – Perfect for Strand synergy, benefiting from Horde Shuttle, Unraveling Orbs, and Disruptor Break artifact mods. Adamantite (Support Frame Auto Rifle) – Comes with perks like Circle of Life, Reciprocity, Slice, Tear, and Hatchling, fitting our team-support playstyle. Void Weapon Options Word of Crota, Recluse, Ros Aragós – Great choices with Destabilizing Rounds + Repulsor Brace. Velocity Baton, Hammerhead, Chivalric Fire, Zealot’s Reward, Harsh Language – More Void options to consider. Heavy Weapon Choices Retrofit Escapade & Commemoration – Synergize with Heavy Ordnance Regeneration for extra melee/grenade energy and resistances. Two-Tailed Fox & Chaos Deterministic – Strong options with excellent burst damage. Artifact Mods & Additional Synergies Volatile Marksman – Grants Void weapons Volatile Rounds after precision shots. Maligned Harvest – Defeating a Volatile enemy releases a Weaken burst on nearby targets. Void Flux – Triggering Void Flux on weakened enemies causes a Volatile explosion, setting up chain reactions. This creates a feedback loop between Void Flux, Maligned Harvest, and Volatile Marksman, ensuring continuous Void explosions, weakening effects, and Overshield uptime.
Final Thoughts With Omnioculus and On the Prowl, this build doesn’t aim for the highest raw damage output, but instead offers world-class survivability.
If you want a Hunter build that keeps you and your fireteam alive through Nightfalls, Dungeons, Raids, and other endgame content, this setup is one of the best choices available in Heresy.
Step 1: Use Grenades to Weaken Step 2: Dodge near enemies to regain Smoke Bomb Step 3: Use Smoke Bombs to evade enemies and provide team support Step 4: Cast Invisibility near teammates for bonus melee energy and to share resistance buff Step 5: Focus on Targetted Enemies. Step 6: Travel through smoke clouds left by enemies. Step 7: Use Void Weapons with Repulsor Brace/Destab Step 8: Use abilities as available. Step 9: Use Super on High Value Targets and large waves of ads.
