Today we’re taking a look at a Prismatic Hunter build that focuses on survivability and melee damage – making it perfect for tough endgame content like Mythic Keplar Missions and Grandmaster Portal activities.

This setup uses a special Exotic class item that comes with Spirit of the Assassin and Spirit of the Liar, and these two perks work perfectly together.

Exotic Perks

• Spirit of the Assassin: Defeating enemies with powered melees or finishers makes us turn invisible. The tougher the enemy, the longer we stay invisible (up to 14 seconds). Invisibility lets us reload, heal, grab ammo, and reposition without getting shot.

• Spirit of the Liar: After performing a powered melee – or getting hit by one – we get a +400% melee damage buff for 3 seconds. When it’s active, you'll see “Cross Counter” on your screen — and it has no cooldown, meaning it can trigger over and over again.

These two perks give us crazy burst damage from up-close and the safety of invisibility to escape whenever things get risky.

Melee Loop – Combination Blow

To take full advantage, we’re using the Combination Blow melee:

Each melee kill gives a stacking melee damage boost (up to around +400%).

Heals us on every kill.

Refunds class ability energy, letting us dodge more often.

With Gambler’s Dodge, dodging gives melee energy... which creates a smooth loop of dodge → melee → dodge → melee, keeping our abilities up nonstop.

Recommended Aspects

You can run either:

Winter’s Shroud + Threaded Spectre – Gives Slow when you dodge (helps trigger Fragment bonuses), plus extra distraction and class ability regen.

Ascension + Threaded Spectre – Gives Amplified, damage resistance, more speed, and reload. Ascension also Jolts, helping deal with champions.

Recommended Fragments

Facet of Courage – More damage from Light abilities.

Facet of Dawn – Powered melees trigger Radiant (20% weapon damage boost; works vs Barrier champs).

Facet of Awakening – Creates Elemental pickups like Tangles & Ionic Traces.

Facet of Hope – Faster class ability regen when Radiant/Amplified is active.

Facet of Purpose – Picking up Orbs gives us Woven Mail (45% damage resistance).

Weapon Recommendations

Use Trench Barrel or One-Two Punch shotguns for massive melee synergy.

Best Exotic option: Bastion – since it has both Trench Barrel and One-Two Punch built in and pairs perfectly with this aggressive playstyle.

Important Stats

Melee stat – aim for 200 to boost melee damage by 30% (top priority).

Grenade stat – aim for 100.

Super stat – aim for 100 (for faster Silkstrike recharge).

Use Font mods (Font of Vigor, Focus, etc.) to cover any gaps and maintain high stats with Armor Charge.

Artifact Mods to Use

Tightly Woven – +20 to class ability & grenade while Woven Mail is active.

Elemental Daze – Explosions when stunning champs.

Shield Crush – +12% grapple damage when Radiant/Amplified, and +50% melee damage when Woven Mail is active.
