How It Works

This Strand Hunter build is a very fun build and is great for dealing boss damage and ad clear. The build runs through the Grapple ability which is buffed by Widow's Silk to get two charges, Thread of Ascent which gives a free reload and multiple weapon stat bonuses, and using Grapple gives Woven Mail from the Cyrtarachne’s Facade exotic helmet.

Ad clear of this build is primarily through Whirling Maelstrom, the Beyblade. When destroying a Tangle, a Whirling Maelstrom is created which damages and unravels targets. To create Tangles you defeat any Strand debuffed enemy. With Thread of Transmutation, you can create Tangles by killing any enemy with a weapon while having Woven Mail.

Dealing boss damage is accomplished with Marksman's Dodge and Thread of Ascent. With a Rocket Launcher you can shoot a Rocket, Grapple for a free reload, shoot, Dodge for a free reload, shoot, Grapple for another free reload, and shoot once more.

Gameplay Loop
  1. Grapple for Woven Mail and to activate Thread of Ascent for a free reload and weapon stat bonuses
  2. Utilize Grapple melee and create an Orb of Power on a kill
  3. Get a kill with Woven Mail active to create a Tangle
  4. Shoot the Tangle to create a Whirling Maelstrom
