DeadlockDeadlock Viscous Guide and Overview

In this Deadlock Viscous guide, you’ll learn the fundamentals of his abilities, unique play styles, and fundamental tips.

Deadlock Viscous Overview

Viscous is a mysterious green goo man that can be an absolute nuisance to the enemy team, due to his wide range of disruptive crowd control effects.

To top it all off, he can be extremely mobile with his ultimate Goo Ball form that lets him roll around like Wrecking Ball from Overwatch 2.

This is your pick if you like to be an ever-present source of pressure that can engage from almost any direction.

Deadlock Viscous Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

  • Incredibly hard to kill due to combination of tankiness and mobility.

  • Adds an inherent safety net to his team with The Cube.

  • High skill cap that rewards time invested for mastery.

Weaknesses

  • One of the more difficult characters to learn due to high skill cap.

  • Using the Goo Ball effectively requires comfortable map knowledge.

  • A misplaced Puddle Punch can put an ally in danger or save an enemy from death.

How to Counter Viscous

  • During laning phase, avoid standing by walls where you can be knocked toward the enemy with Puddle Punch. Try to stand where you'll be knocked sideways at worst.

  • Don't be baited by Viscous ball form Goo Ball, their goal is to wreak havoc and keep your attention. Keep your eyes on the priority targets before targeting the ball.

  • When The Cube is used in a team fight, try to use it as a window where you might have favorable numbers. Just remember that the cubed enemy will be healing and will get back into the fray.
