DeadlockDeadlock Rem Guide and Overview

In this Deadlock Rem guide, you’ll learn the fundamentals of their abilities, unique play styles, and fundamental tips.

Rem's hero tags are: Helpful, Tiny, and ZZZ

Deadlock Rem Overview

Rem is a unique hero that is very weak in combat and relies heavily on good macro decisions both in map pressure and in fights.

The majority of Rem's power comes from Lil Helpers and can be used to tactically steal Sinner's Sacrifices and shove lanes without appearing

From the official Deadlock Steam page:

"An accidental stowaway from the world of dreams, Rem has found himself stranded in the city that never sleeps. Pillow fights are Rem's preferred form of conflict, tossing his favorite pillow at enemies to knock them back when they're getting too close.

His friends, however, he likes to keep nearby - leaping to their aid when things get dicey and taking a quick nap on their shoulder. His Lil Helpers are curious creatures, taking interest in everything the streets of New York have to offer, and cheering on his allies as they go.

Ultimately when Naptime hits, no one will be able to keep their eyes open. - The best part of being asleep, is being asleep."

Strengths And Weaknesses Summary

  • Strong saboteur
  • Map presence from tunnels and Lil Helpers
  • High skill floor, easy to survive
  • Low character agency, dependent on draft
  • Weak in direct combat
  • Lacks mobility outside of Tag Along

Deadlock Rem Abilities

In tunnels, Rem gets a large boost to speed, so use them often for fast ganks and map pressure (goes from 10 M/S to 16 M/S). Tunnels can't be accessed if you have taken damage from a player source, similar to Majestic Leap.

How to Counter Rem

  • Rem suffers 5% bonus Melee Damage, so punch items are more effective.
  • Ultimate Abilities that Stun can knock Rem off from Tag Along. Spells such as Dynamo's Singularity or Holliday's Lasso.
  • Pillow Toss is a long cooldown spell, so it is easy to engage Rem if they miss it.
  • Make sure to be on time for the Buff spawns (5m) and the Sinner's spawns (8m), so that Rem can't steal them against you!
