When is Valve's Deadlock Release Date?
Valve's upcoming new game Deadlock, is currently unreleased and only playable by getting a playtester invite.
Its NDA was lifted on August 23, 2024 and allowed testers to stream, post content, and otherwise discuss the game in public.
So far, the game does not have a release date, but we will be closely following and will post the official date ASAP.
The Current Deadlock Release Date Status
Until August 23, 2024, Valve had not even acknowledged Deadlock as being real although there had been some leaks.
Many in the playtesting community thought that the 2024 DOTA TI would be when they would officially reveal it and its release date.
Here is the latest Deadlock release date status from Yoshi, who many believe is Icefrog (the creator of DOTA and Deadlock):
We are lifting the rules for public conversation about Deadlock to allow for things like streaming, community websites and discussions.
Nothing else is changing with our state of development. We are remaining invite-only and continue to be in an early development stage with lots of temporary art and experimental gameplay.

So TLDR, although the game is currently accessible through the playtest, Deadlock does NOT have an official release date or news around an Open Beta period.
