Overview

This build revolves around Leaping Slash so our goal is to get as many Slashes off in fights and to assassinate/gank other lanes using Ava.

Spirit Strike works with our Leaping Slash and gives us a strong power boost in lane! It works on creeps as well so use it to recover in lane if getting harassed.
Melee Lifesteal works on Leaping Slash, but make sure to punch creeps as well if there are no heroes to hit.

Backstabber is an excellent tool to chase down any fast enemies as well as giving a suitable amount of damage.
Cold Front gives a strong slow and a good source of burst damage.
Headhunter gives Calico a boost of speed and a nice heal to sustain with.
Torment Pulse has strong value because it keeps procing during Return to Shadows and gives a lot of extra health!

Lifestrike and Fortitude is Calico's defensive layer and helps Calico stay and maintain a strong presence on the map.
The new Crushing Fists is fantastic on Calico and gives a huge source of damage when sticking and punching players. It is then supplemented with items such as Hunter's Aura and Point Blank for more damage and movement speed slow.
Round out the punching playstyle with Spirit Snatch for more melee damage and spirit utility.
