How to Play Lulu Poppy
Hey guys NicMakesPlays here.
Today I’m going to go over my Poppy Lulu deck I went 10-0 to Rank #1 with!
It’s a deck that can end games quickly so it’s a great choice for climbing.
We’re constantly covering new decks so be sure to check out our previous deck guides.
Deck Code: CECAGAIABEKR2BQFBIUXJEIBU4A4MAPLAEAQGAAOAEBQEAQCAEBAABYCAUFG7LYBAEAQIAAC
Goal of Deck / Win condition
This deck utilizes Bandle City Mayor to allow you to swarm with a ton of units.
After this, you summon Poppy or Lulu to output huge pressure.
When your opponent is low on blockers you can use Rally or Yordles in Arms to win the game.
In this deck, you want to mulligan for Fleetfeather Tracker, Yordle Smith, Bandle City Mayor, and Lulu/Poppy.
You want to open with a strong early game and then draw into Rally or Yordles in Arms after you are set up.
Card Choices & Key Synergies
Fleetfeather Tracker / Yordle Smith
Fleetfeather Tracker and Yordle Smith both help you take over the board. You can combine Fleetfeather Tracker with Yordle Smith, Lulu, or Brightsteel Protector to use its Challenger for a free combat trade.
Yordle Smith gives your field Quick Attack making it hard for the enemies to block. When combined with Lulu, you can give even bigger attack units Quick Attack.
Bandle City Mayor / Loping Telescope
Bandle City Mayor and Loping Telescope allow your deck to keep up in card advantage, while your other cards apply the pressure.
Bandle City Mayor gives you a free Multi-Region follower while also discounting your power cards such as Poppy and Lulu.
You can use Bandle City Mayor to swarm the field and pull off pretty crazy turns for cheap.
Loping Telescope can also help you generate more units, Celestials, or multi-Region followers.
Lulu / Poppy
Lulu and Poppy are your two Champions who allow you to go for power plays.
Lulu can buff Fleetfeather tracker to get a good combat trade, or buff Bandle Command to push for big Elusive damage.
Poppy buffs your whole field making it harder for your opponent to trade well, while also pushing tons of damage.
Both of these Champions are discounted off of Bandle City Mayor and can combine with Relentless Pursuit for some devastating turns.
Rangers Resolve / Sharpsight
Rangers Resolve and Sharpsight can give your key units some protection. You can use Rangers Resolve on a wide board to keep them alive from board clears or combat trades.
Sharpsight is versatile and allows you to protect your units from removal spells, combat trades, or even block Elusive units.
These cards are particularly powerful on your Champions to keep them alive and continue to use their effects each attack.
Relentless Pursuit / Yordles In Arms
Relentless Pursuit and Yordles In Arms are your game-ending cards. You can use Relentless Pursuit after you’ve cleared some of the enemy blockers, to make the final push for game.
Relentless Pursuit also allows you to re-use your Champions attack effects as well as easily level them up.
Yordles In Arms can give your whole field +4|+4 which packs on a ton of damage and easily can push for game.
This deck does well against decks like Nami Zoe, Darkness, and Bandle Tree.
These decks aren’t able to trade as well through combat trades. All you have to do is make a few huge pushes and then use Relentless Pursuit to clean up after their field has been whittled away.
These decks are also slightly slower paced so they should be trying to catch up to your pressure the entire game.
This gives you an edge from the beginning and you can close out a game before they ever stabilize.
Sion Draven is one of your hardest matchups with this deck. Sion Draven has tons of blockers along with Survival Skills and Reborn Grenadiers to gain value through combat.
Yordle Smith is particularly good in this matchup so they can’t trade with your units in combat.
Yordle Smith also nullifies Reborn Grenadier from coming out of nowhere and trading with your units since it would die to your field’s Quick Attack.
Saving a Rangers Resolve/Sharpsight can also help to keep Poppy alive from Get Excited and push on key turns.
This deck list is pretty tight overall, so right now I would only consider potentially replacing Yordle in Arms.
Tenor of Terror
This card is great against decks with tons of removal because it allows you to easily refuel your board.
Cithria the Bold
This card is great against decks with tons of chump blockers so you can make a huge final push through them.
This card is great in the mirror match to remove their key units such as Poppy, and then you can finish with your own Poppy.
