How to Get Beloved in Destiny 2 – Austringer God Rolls for PvE and PvP

Season of the Haunted brought in some fan-favorite Menagerie weapons from Shadowkeep.

Austringer was the top weapon in terms of kills in week 1 of Trials in Season 17, well, Beloved was #2 in terms of kills of all weapons. Not only was it second on the list, Beloved had nearly double the kills as the second most Special Weapon on the list.

Beloved is a 90 RPM Adaptive Frame solar sniper that just so happens to pair very well with Beloved.

In this article, we will discuss how to acquire Beloved and what are the best rolls for the weapon.

We also have guides on how to get Austringer, Drang, and CALUS Mini-Tool.

How to Get Beloved in Season of the Haunted

There are a few options to get Beloved in Season of the Haunted. Getting this weapon to drop is one thing, but getting red frame Deepsight Resonance Weapon drops is the key. The gist of grinding this weapon is to level up the Crown of Sorrow, complete seasonal challenges, perform the seasonal quest, and open chests in the Leviathan. Leveling up the Crown of Sorrow is the best way to control what weapons drop, and making sure they are red frames.

To upgrade the Crown of Sorrow, Figments of Darkness are used. Figments of Darkness are acquired through the weekly seasonal quest, a weekly seasonal challenge, and gaining reputation at the Crown of Sorrow via bounties, opening chests, and completing public events on the Leviathan.

The upgrades you should focus on are: Opulent Deepsight (3rd upgrade on the Channeling Tree), Focusing Deepsight (5th upgrade on the Channeling Tree), and Opulent Weapon Focusing (3rd upgrade on the Manifesting Tree). I recommend leveling up the Manifesting Tree until the 3rd level to unlock Opulent Weapon Focusing, and then level up the Channeling Tree to unlock the Deepsight upgrades.

Once Opulent Weapon Focusing is unlocked, use umbral engrams to roll for your desired Opulent Weapon using Opulent Umbral Energy from the Containment public event and Leviathan. Then when the Channeling Tree is upgraded you will get red frame weapons guaranteed once per week from your first Opulent Chest opening and first focused weapon.

Opulent Keys are another means of getting red frame weapons. The best way to get these is through opening the final chest from world events in the Pleasure Gardens and Royal Pools on the Leviathan. These world events are much faster than the Containment public event. You can only hold 1 Opulent Key, so be sure to use it by finding the chest listed on the description of the Opulent Key in your inventory.

How to Unlock Beloved Pattern and Craft It

5 is the magic number here. To unlock crafting for the Beloved you need to complete 5 red frame Deepsight Resonance versions of Beloved.

Once that is complete you need to level up a crafted version of the weapon to unlock all of the perks that it can roll with, including enhanced perks.

We are going to go over all of the available perks on the Beloved; here are the available perks for the Beloved:

Beloved PvE God Roll

  • Barrel Option
    • Arrowhead Brake – Gives +30 to Recoil and +10 to Handling
    • Fluted Barrel – Gives +5 to Stability and +15 to Handling
  • Magazine Option
    • Appended Mag – Gives +1 to Magazine Size
    • Extended Mag – Gives +1 to Magazine Size, but -20 Reload Speed
  • Perk Column 1
    • Fourth Times the Charm – Gives 2 shots to the Magazine with 4 Consecutive Headshots
    • No Distractions – 35% flinch reduction after 1 second of being ADS
  • Perk Column 2
    • Incandescent – Kills apply 30 scorch to nearby enemies
    • Box Breathing – After being ADS for 1.5 seconds, damage is increased by 31% and reset after firing

Handling and Recoil are important stats for Barrels in PvE, making Arrowhead Brake the best option. Handling is important to swap to and from the weapon, and Recoil helps you hit consecutive shots. Magazine Size decreases the need for reload, and when it comes to Special Weapons, Appended Mag is just a better version of Extended Mag due to the Reload penalty.

The 1st set of perks has Fourth Times the Charm for straight-up boss damage and No Distractions for landing shots easier. Incandescent has become a great option with Solar 3.0 by applying scorch to targets and synergizes very well with Ember of Singeing by giving back Class Ability energy from the scorch of the perk.

Box Breathing is for boss DPS and pairs well with Fourth Times the Charm, granted there are better sniper options if boss damage is your sole focus.

Beloved PvP God Roll

  • Barrel Option
    • Corkscrew Rifling – Gives +5 to Range, Stability, and Handling
    • Fluted Barrel – Gives +5 to Stability and +15 to Handling
  • Magazine Option
    • Ricochet Rounds – Gives +10 to Stability and +5 to Range
    • High-Caliber Rounds – Gives +5 Range and increases Flinch applied to targets
  • Perk Column 1
    • Snapshot Sights – Aim down sights 25% faster (lesser value for Special Weapons when compared to Primary Weapons)
    • Surplus – Gives stats based on fully charged abilities (1-3 stacks)
      • +5, 25, or 50 Reload Speed depending on stacks
      • +5, 15, 25 Stability depending on stacks
      • +10, 25, 50 Handling depending on stacks
  • Perk Column 2
    • Quickdraw – Makes Handling stat 100 only for Ready/Stow (does not affect ADS speed)
    • Moving Target – Grants 10 aim assist and 3% movement penalty reduction when ADS and strafing

Over the past few years, Range and Handling were the go-to stats for snipers for Aim Assist, ADS, and ready/stow speed. With the new flinch changes in which flinch is tied to Stability, Stability is a great stat to have for snipers which is why these Barrels and Magazines are recommended.

The first column perks are more of the same in terms of neutral stats. Snapshot helps indirectly with Handling by increasing ADS speed. While Surplus can give copious amounts of stats based on cooldowns. The second column has Quickdraw for very good swapping speed to allow for a body shot + weapon swap combo for a quick cleanup and Moving Target for better Aim Assist to hit more shots.

If you use Snapshot+Quickdraw, Handling is still important as both perks are multiplicative. Meaning that even if your Handling for ready and stow is maxed with Quickdraw, there is still a 5% animation speed increase for ready and stow. And with Snapshot, there is a 25% increase in ADS speed, and you still see benefits no matter your Handling stat.
